Aqua - Discussion Thread(Spoilers)

They spent the better part of last season talking about college. Various episode dealt in depth with graduating high school, GPAs and football scholarships, whether or not they were going to live on campus, which colleges they were interested in, AND of course the application process. Some of the dialog wasn't even necessary to the main plots of the episodes, but it was done to gear up the audience for the 5th season.

If I remember correctly all of the college stuff came up in Spell, Recruit, Forever, and Commencement.

She says she likes Arthur because he wants to save the world. That was actually a Superman reference.

In the comics she falls in love with Superman first before she realizes that he's really Clark in part just because of he's always saving people. I think she'll probably know Clark is Superman in the Smallville continuity should they ever go that far, but I guess we'll see.

I thought it interesting that Clark was surprised she thought that. I think he saw something new in her there...

Also, at the end she tells Clark that she wants to could find someone special like Arthur again someday and he says he can guarentee that she will.

Yeah, she will. When she meets and falls in love with Superman... Funny how he thought he could guarentee that.

I think there were others in the episode but I can't think of them right now...

Within that episode there were a couple, yes I agree, but not alot since her time on Smallville. Which I guess is what I thought you meant.

I really liked that last scene. I'm a big Clana fan but I have been waiting for them to throw in some more lines to suggest that Clark and Lois are going to have a future together.

Yeah, those were the ones that were pretty focused on the road to college, but there were references in other episodes too. For example, Clark talks about going to the University of Miami at the beginning of Blank, and Lana and Jason argue over dorms in Pariah (I *think* it was Pariah.) I'm just saying the transition from high school to college wasn't something that was glossed over by the writers. At least three episodes in the fourth season had plots that totally revolved around leaving high school and entering college, and a few other eps reminded viewers of that eventual goal through the dialog.

I dont think anyone mentioned Sacred, at the very beginning, when Martha throws a pile of College Prospectuses (does that word have a plural  ) on the table and tells him he has to make some decisions. Then at the end we see him trying to type up his application.

Great points Trip  .

After this episode and the Flash episode, I can't wait for them to do a young Bruce Wayne episode. XP

That's every fans Dream. I for one would want Bale as young Bruce Wayne . But Al & Miles said Bruce Wayne isn't coming to smallville . (which sucks because he and SUPERMAN are good friends.) In fact Bruce was the first Superhero Clark met in the comics (post crisis) when he first became SUPERMAN .

Thanks Sage. Are you able to do a cap of Lois & Clark in the loft at the end. :) Please.

Thanks Sage, I really appreciate that. I have a feeling that that scene is going to be a memorable one in Smallville's history.

Great Review Triplet! I didn't quite agree about A.C. though, I thought that with what they gave him, he did quite well. I'm not sure it was totally his fault that some of his scenes didn't quite work.

Enjoyed reading it anyways.

I thought he did fine, well.. Considering. Everyone seems to think I was being hard on him...

Yeah, his performance was uneven but I thought I'd made it clear most of his problems were due to inexperience. I thought he did well in several scenes, especially in ones where he was in scenes with Michael and Tom...

Other than that I agreed with what you said about the episode. Evil Lex in particular, MR consistently shows why he is one of the best actors they have for the show. I keep waiting for him to do something particularly evil and start MUWAHAHAHAHing. Or touch the tips of his fingers and go "EEXXIILLLENTTT", kind of like Mr. Burns.

Did you notice the mountains in Kansas in the episode. It made me laugh a little. I always enjoy the way you look at the episodes though Triplet. So keep it up!

Yeah, and taking those SAT practice tests would have made for compelling TV... ;) :p

What the heck is Lana wearing in that picture. Thats one weird ass swimsuit... I guess she got tired of the 2 piece.

It's not a swimsuit, it's a dress. Chloe is wearing one as well. It's for the girl who wants to go to the beach but doesn't want to reveal anything :)

They both have swimsuits on with cover-ups over them. Lana's is one that ties around the hips.

I'm just going to have to snag this one.. I have a major weakness for Wet Clark..
I think it needs to filed in the Drooling thread too.

*Cue theme from Jaws* :D

Thanks, Sage.
