Aquamans powers and the depictions

I'm gonna go ahead and say New 52 levels as well.

He should be shown as badass from his 1st introduction on screen.
Hes ATLANTEAN and should have ability to live at ocean depths which put enormous pressure on him which means his body is dense & can withstand bullets fired at him.
He should also be highly trained & skilled warrior of Atlantis with the trident as his weapon of choice & they should showcase his strength.
He should be be part Conan & part Tarzan and be a born leader that commands respect.

I can see them doing the echolocation thing and then animals do what he needs. I can't picture anything else to be honest. Hopefully he doesn't just use the trident all the time

Sorry should have explained that better.

As in, when he talks to animals there's a pinging sound followed by circles coming away from his head that looks like echolocation and then the animal does his binding. I meant something like that

Ah, his telepathic control of and communication with sea life. Got it.

I'm sure they'll show that. It's part of the whole "he just talks to fish" nonsense that they'll surely joke around with.

I think there is a good chance with this movie to maybe better define AM's powers.

I think a good way to go would be to have Arthur be a sort of full on empath on dry land. Once in the ocean water though the sea acts like a sort of signal amplifier giving him the control over simpler, non-mammalian sea creatures.

I would totally remove the weakening of him on land but he would be more formidable in the ocean. I would also define the limits of his sensory abilities and showcase how they are different from normal humans. As an example his night vision on land should be amazing since he would have to see at ocean depths where sunlight is scant to say the least.

I agree! I'd be very interested to see the whole night vision thing. It would surely separate him from the pack!

Me neither. I guess the Superfriends show killed it with him riding that seahorse or whatever but like Krypton said, they should totally just really show up his empath abilities.

Communication has it's advantages too though. Sometimes you gotta command a mess of Humboldt squid to tear apart some Manta henchmen. Sometimes you gotta ask a dolphin if they've seen a secluded cove some pirates might be based out of.
