Arrow Are there any Batman villains that you don't wanna see on this show?

I wanna see Ra's Al Ghul because the League of Assassins (namely Merlin)has had ties with Green Arrow for decades in the comics. Nyssa didn't bother me and Deadshot and Deathstroke are fair game. The same can be said for the Firefly, Clock King and Solomon Grundy. Professor Ivo is a Justice League enemy so that works too.

As for the Harley cameo ,it was perfect for me. Not too much, not too little. The way they incorporated the Huntress worked because while she's often been part of the Bat-Family, I consider her an equal part of the Birds of Prey. (Just use Felicity instead of Oracle).

Until Batman himself appears (if ever) I think namely the Joker, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, Clayface, the Penguin, the Scarecrow, Catwoman, Hugo Strange and other of the more exclusive, iconic rogues of Batman's history should be left off of the show.

Anybody agree or disagree? Where would you draw the line or would you?
Rumors of Nightwing interest me as long as they at least hint at Batman.

I'm a slight bit iffy on the Riddler but would welcome the Outsiders like Black Lightning and Katana namely being as though they've been teammates on JLA line-ups and I think Green Arrow was part of the Outsiders for a while if I'm not mistaken. Geo-Force and Metamorpho have already been used as easter eggs.

I don't think I want to see man-bat

Don't have to worry about that eplo. Only a big budget movie would or should attempt something like that. I can see a toned down Dr Phospherous though. Maybe limited to flaming hands.

Hugo strange could be cool to see unless they have plans to use him in a movie at some point in the next few years

Joker and 2 Face. That's it

Bring on the Riddler and Black Mask.

I think that most Batman villains could work on this show. However, I'd avoid using the one's that are REALLY connected to Batman, such as:

-The Joker (he's Batman's archenemy, don't use him).
-Two Face (he's Batman's friend and they're REALLY connected).
-Bane (it's too close to TDKR).
-Catwoman (not technically a villain, but stay away nonetheless).

Other than that, go ahead and use the others.

Joker, Two-Face, Hush, Red Hood, Dr. Hurt, Mr. Freeze, Man-Bat, Clayface, and the Reaper/Phantasm.

I wouldn't want to see the Riddler. He can be replaced by similar villains like Cluemaster.

I'd rather they not use most of Batman's bigger villains, such as Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman and Bane. I'd be down with someone like Black Mask, though, and Riddler would be interesting.

I'm not opposed to not having many Batman villains on the show. Probably The Joker, Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Hush, Scarface would not be ones I want to see.

I wouldn't mind seeing Harvey Dent, though not Two-Face, as a DA in Starling before he goes to Gotham. Also Catwoman as a thief making a visit to Starling. Black Mask, Hugo Strange, Black Spider, Tally Man, Anarky, Lady Shiva, and some of the lesser known villains would be good.

if they can do it well, i'm open to them using any Batman villain

I just want them to confirm to some degree that Bruce Wayne exists in the Arrow universe. It doesn't have to be in the same universe they're doing with Man of Steel, or Gotham for that matter. I just want more mentions of Wayne Enterprises, Gotham City, etc. That way we get a feel that there's more going on in the world than Starling City's problems.

As for villains, stay away from the big ones: Joker, Two Face, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Riddler, Catwoman, etc. DC has plenty of lesser known villains they can use for now, like they have been.

Here's an interesting proposal, what about a Bruce Wayne where Martha and Thomas Wayne were never killed? It would be interesting to imagine what kind of person Bruce would have turned out if things had worked out differently with his parents.

If you're going to change the character to that extreme, you would have to do more explaining and that would take up too much screen time. If they decided Thomas and Martha never died and just said, "In the show Arrow, Gotham City and Wayne Enterprises exist, but Bruce Wayne isn't the Bruce Wayne you know," I'd be a little disappointed.

Besides, when you do that, you add in the question, "Would Harley Quinn exist if Batman had never existed?" Without Batman, would there be a Joker? Because without Joker, Harley Quinn isn't Harley Quinn, IMO.

To me, them hinting at Harley Quinn like they did, it means that Joker has to have existed in some capacity, which likely means Batman exists in some capacity in this universe as well. That's really all the explanation I would need.

I guess you and I have very different views on the matter. In my opinion, when it comes to loose adaptations that are more inspired by rather than reproductions (for comparison: Game of Thrones), all bets are off. All characters are potentially independent of one another. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say alter egos are potentially independent of one another two - e.g. Tommy and Merlyn can be two separate characters - so long as the creators do their due diligence in making it work.

With respect to Bruce Wayne, I think most of the show's audience is familiar enough with the story of Batman that the show need only have him introduce his parents at the end of an episode for everyone to lose their minds.

Harley's inclusion doesn't mean that Joker or Batman exist.

It's a different continuity where the origins could be different.

Black Mask.

The Condiment King….i relish the idea!

I think Joker, Two Face, Riddler, and perhaps Bane are the only ones who should be off limits.

Joker, Two-Face, Riddler, Catwoman, Bane, Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul, Hugo Strange, Simon Hurt, Poison Ivy, Man-Bat, Mr Freeze.

Penguin and Black Mask would be okay to see, as long as Oliver can't actually send them to prison or anything, just send them packing from Starling City.

I would actually love to see Oliver interact with Catwoman (but not sleep with her).

I've been giving this a little more thought. If and only if they made reference to the Joker usually operating in Gotham most of the time battling Batman would a Joker appearance maybe feel comfortable without an actual appearance by Batman... maybe.

I had an issue of the short lived Joker series from the 70's that featured the Joker coming to Star City for whatever reason, try to hook up with Dinah Lance and ended up fighting Green Arrow on a bridge until another one of his "deaths". They could do a one off tribute to that issue but only after an appearance or two already from Batman would it feel alright.

Batman shows up, Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins would be my preferred antagonists.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bruce Wayne at Queens company, or supporting Moira….
