Are there certain kinds of Fanboys that annoy you? - Part 1

Sometimes something becomes so popular that it warrants a Hollywood adaptation.

At which point Hollywood alters most of things that made the concept popular.

:huh::huh::huh:

People that look down on me because I got into comics in the 90's, and yes I read Spawn, Youngblood and Lobo comics. I grew out of the whole EXTREEEEEM, Lifeldishness, but I feel like I've been stigmatized because of when I started reading comics.

Is that so???? That's just absurd.

Hulk fanboys who refuse to admit that hulk could ever be beaten, slowed down, inconvenienced or in anyway waylaid by another character.
If that were true how ****ing boring a book that would be.
I dislike fanboys repeating this nonsense about Batman

I hate fanboys that treat you like your not a real fan because you don't own a lot of comics/memorabilia.

Some of us are poor. Doesn't mean we love the characters any less!
I don't have memorabilia, and hardly own comics (in physical form :o)

Raimi Spider-Man fanboys

Nolan fanboys who think only he should be allowed to handle Batman movies

Fanboys who dreamcast the same actors/actresses constantly knowing little to none of their work.

Avatards.

I hate the kind of fanboys that ***** and cry because they're not getting what they want in regards to promotion for a film, even though the ****ing film isn't coming out for another 4 months.

They need to see more to know whether they'll see it or not. :o

I love his 2 Bat films to death but I think that's just silly.

Figs, quite blasting the Spideyfans.:cwink::oldrazz:

Anyway, I detest the weeaboos that stand around the manga aisle like street corner prophets lambasting this manga and that manga and going on about how good their manga is instead of telling everyone in the store *why* their manga is good.

Actually if you really want to know, I'm talking about the fanboys in the TDKR threads. :woot:

Oh hohhohoh I know. That's the first forum I head to when I hit the Hype. :yay:

I've heard of few on other forums saying he should be involved or handle all DC films.

He might as well. :o

The last few guys WB put their trust in to make a good movie (Bryan Singer, Martin Campbell) didn't pan out.

But seriously, I say they should just put their trust in another indie director to make a good blockbuster.

Batman Arkham Games fanboys whosay "All Spider-Man games are bad, Rocksteady must make Spidey games and add their combat system to it"
And plenty of the reasons why "There is no good Spider-Man game" are silly and stupid, some of them can be applied on other games they praise

Adding another to my list:

Any Fanboy who uses the term "raped my childhood."

There was actually A LOT of great comics in the 90s. It's just there was also a lot of really bad ones, so the good ones get overshadowed.

The people who dismiss the 90s as a horrible era for comics are ignorant idiots who shouldn't be paid attention to.

I'd actually say that as a whole, the 00s are worse than the 90s for comics. Mainstream superhero comics anyway. Let's put it this way, the 90s had guys like Busiek writing the Avengers. The 00s has Bendis. Nuff said.

Mainstream comics are worse today. Continuity's been thrown out the window in both universes (I'm not a continuity nut, but I want some kind of coherent timeline) and a lot of flagship characters act completely different than they used to or have been de-aged. Or have just friggin' died and come back to life too much, completely devaluing the characters in the process.

Having said that, I think mature comics are better today. Sure, in the 90's we had Preacher and Transmet. But now we have (or had) Y: The Last Man, DMZ, The Walking Dead, Ex Machina, Fables, the MAX Punisher series, I could go on and on. Some really awesome, epic runs. :up:

Chuck Norris fanboys who post Chuck Norris jokes as if they're the fuuuunnieeest thiiiiing evaaaaah! Really, tell me more about how his tears cure cancer again! I haven't heard that one before!

I've never actually understood the Chuck Norris meme thing. There is plenty of more bad ass people than him.
