Iron Man Armor revealed!

Those were designs being used in the comics today. I like that they're sticking to the basics!

I wouldn´t be surprised if the final design looked closer to this. Favreau is a fan of Granov´s take on the character. Which is pretty cool, cuz his approach is modern and yet feels like classic IM.

That's not the suit he builds in captivity.

I know but this suit looks like it belongs in Iron Man 3. For the first movie I would've expected something closer to the Ultimate Iron Man design and then they would've moved closer to the Granov designs in the sequels. Don't get me wrong I love Granov's suits (his pre-extremis Iron Man suit is my favorite) I just think they're moving too fast with the designs.

You're assuming things though. Who knows if this suit is something that will just show up in the end as a proto-type, or how long this will be used...or if it'll be used at all. No official comments yet but I like it. I'd think most of the advanced tech would be in the weaponry and propulsion and not just the look.

Yea I like to, but this guy sounds kinda like a ****ty source.

It's a legit source, Vic helps run advancediron.org which is a Iron Man fansite and is very reliable, he doesn't post these kinds of stories unless he's sure of them.

I love the armor, will have to wait and see if this actually makes it to the big screen.

If that turns out to be the design they go with I'll be very happy:up:

Stan Winston has been confirmed to be working on the Iron Man movie by IGN

I was watching my son play with his toys last night, and the Iron Man pic on the right (the concept pic) looks a lot like D.I.C.E. toys. All of his D.I.C.E. guys have that big thing on the shoulder that you see in the pic. On the action figures, it kinda rotates from being up on top of the shoulder, to resting down on the top of the arm.
Just thought I would mention it. I don't have file hosting, so if anyone could post pics, you'll see what I mean.
I also found some on Google pics "dice action figure"

Looks great to me. Nice to see them honoring the source material for once. :p

I'm I the only one who thinks the suit looks way to advanced for an origin movie.
from what i hear there will be 3 suits in this movie, the original (he builds in captivity), This one and the Warmachine armor

dont know if that rumor is real thou

Nice. But I thought they was going "old shool" with the design.

Depends on how "Origin" this origin is.

On the INVINCIBLE IRON MAN DVD (that was already released overseas, btw), Tony Stark builds an Iron Man suit in captivity... but BEFORE that, he had ALREADY built a lot of different Iron Man suits, his "pet project".

meh....i liked the design from the second series of the 90s cartoon, that was iron man's best look in my eyes...

You gotta remember the suit has to look real. Things look different on paper than on the big screen. The armor can't look like it's been painted on him like above. It's gotta look like something Stark can actally put on instead of smoldering Iron being poured on him to form fit him. LOL

whats the deal with the Ultimate iron man suit? the ultimate iron-man design that i saw in USM and I think in Ultimate Six looks more realisitc, and cooler in my eyes.

but since they aren't going the utimate route, i think its fine that they're using the more form fitting suit.

While you make a good point, personally, I don't want to be waiting 10 years, and 2, 3, 4 crappy (or at least, lesser) suit designs before we get to see the cool one. The best one. In short, I think a good design is worth more than a sense of realism.
