Iron Man Desert Set Photos!
Just a couple of photos from the shooting set of Iron Man provided by a visitor to Screen Rant. It's not much, but it's better than nothing. If you look closely at the container you can see the Stark Industries logo.

"Just had a nice tour of the desert/Iraq cave set located in a remote California desert canyon. Tons of US Military surplus relabled with 'Stark Industries' stickers, stenciled labels, arabic and Cyrillic writing. Everything had desert camo netting covering it. The 'cave' was impressive and blended very well with the natural terrain."

Great pics, love seeing the Stark Industries logo on the crates.

yeah, from what i've heard, it's a shift from the east coast to the west coast, which explains why Stark Industries is probably LA based instead of NY. It's a nice change, actually.

Yup, great stuff. FYI, I've updated the post on my site with additional pics, including a couple that are not shown above.

yeah i like the logo design for stark industries, the level of detail they went to is crazy as most of those crates logos will probably be unreadable on screen.:oldrazz:

Yeah, I really think Favreau is going to do an awesome job. I'm really excited about this one, it's the superhero movie I've been waiting for!

Congrats on the scoopage Vic. Can't wait to see more... just imagine Stark in the grey armor just obliterating everything in that canyon...

I guess the further depths of the cave is the "set" in LA in the Spruce Goose hangar.

Hey guys...

When do you reckon we'll get our first official (or otherwise) look at the armour from the movie?

You'd have to think that with filming now underway, it can't be too far off...

starfish mask and kinky womens boots. fix those and the suit will look great.

Iron Man Filming location

S.O.S.FilmWorks is one of more than 73 properties managed by Agua Dulce Movie Ranch for specific use by the film industry. We are not in business to waste your time so if we do not have a location you are looking for we will tell you directly and refer you to a competitor that will best serve your story.

S.O.S. FilmWorks is a 174 acre filming site, located within the 30-mile zone, consisting of flat topography. Extensive infrastructure exists at the site, including a 360,000 (Three Hundred Sixty Thousand) gallon water tank (some areas do not require a water truck), electrical conduit, more than 10 concrete pads, fire hydrants and gated access on asphalt roads. The picture shown left is the most visible set at S.O.S, our L10-11, full size, jet fuselage. The property is zoned M-1 (Heavy Industrial), and is pyrotechnic friendly.

There're more pictures of the area.

Maybe not. From what I've heard, anytime RDJ is in the suit it's going to be CGI, so unless they film him out in public with a scene where they would be using a real suit rather than CGI (say, if he just had his helmet off or something), we probably won't see it for a while.

I thought they were going to do as much as they could without CGI?
