I kid, of course different styles/themes/tones rub different people the wrong way. Her content doesn't bother me because I find her heartbreak feels authentic,
while I find other pop stars I won't name to sound generally whiny and annoying because I don't buy what they're selling. It's the same with movies. Look no further than the DC/Marvel rivalries on the Hype. Some people think Marvel are too joke-y and lighthearted and therefore feel soulless, while others think they have all the heart and spirit of adventure and DC tries to be too dark. Which means both companies are doing something right because there's obviously a big audience for both schools of thought.
