I wish I had a copy. It's been a LONG time since I have watched it. I think we used to get more directors that did both the off the beaten track as well as the weirdly experimental along side the crowd pleasers back in the day. The dude that did EXCALIBUR put Sean Connery in a wedding dress. Wrap your head around that.

Did you know that his own DAUGHTER played Arthur's mother in EXCALIBUR... That's right, the chick that does the crazy "Climax" dance and gets essentially raped on screen by Gabriel Byrne was the director's daughter. Madness.

So basically every Dario Argento film ever made in human history.

I kid, of course different styles/themes/tones rub different people the wrong way. Her content doesn't bother me because I find her heartbreak feels authentic, while I find other pop stars I won't name to sound generally whiny and annoying because I don't buy what they're selling. It's the same with movies. Look no further than the DC/Marvel rivalries on the Hype. Some people think Marvel are too joke-y and lighthearted, manufactured and soulless, while others think they have all the heart and spirit of adventure while DC tries to be too dark. Which means both companies are doing something right because there's obviously a big audience for both schools of thought.

His LOTR would have been WAY funky. Even Excalibur has some out there stuff in it. Maybe he'd have made Sam and Frodo EXPLICITLY gay?

Blindspot is pure mediocrity, imo. I don't know why I'm still watching it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for background noise while they do a crossword or Sudoku.
