Pretty close resemblance actually

Arnold is pretty much past his prime to do something like this, BUT I am going to remain cautiously optimistic. I do like the choice of Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor though.

holly sh.... i took me 8 hours

Emilia Clarke
Jason Clarke

Yeah, no acting required there. They just hired Emilia's time-displaced adult Australian son.

if its true that it was between Brie Larson and Clarke than this will be T1 Sarah Connor.

Arnie always gets a free pass. He's about the only actor who could make you believe he was a real American despite having a thick Austrian accent. You automatically turn you brain off to the inconsistencies and discrepencies when it comes to the Austrian Oak. :o :D :oldrazz:

The character of Anton Chigurgh would make such an awesome Terminator. I guess it helps that Bardem says he based some of the character on the Terminator to begin with. :D :oldrazz:

I have no problem with a 66 year old man in this film, considering he could probably kick most of our asses.

Coming May 2030: Maisie Williams as Sarah Connor.

She'd be a Terminator!

The Sarah Connor casting doesn't do anything for me but good luck to her filling those iconic boots.

Likewise, Danearys is my least favourite part of GoT. I kind of associate Emilia Clarke with having my time wasted thanks to Season 2.

You know with the news recently of casting heating up , i was thinking back how hyped i was when Salvation was coming out.
The opening scene was great and then when Kyle Reese is introduced and the little girl...everything somehow starts to go downhill
VFX look great. Hope they use ILM again.

I screamed like a little girl when I first saw the teaser for T3, the theme in it was just euphoric. The final product was a letdown though, and since then I've always treated anything Terminator-related that doesn't have James Cameron attached with extreme caution and less optimism.

they will get my 100% support if a young Sarah Connor time travels into the future. so we get young Sarah Connor for the origin. through her you reintroduce the terminator world. an old badass John Connor who fights machines. and as a bonus everything is set in the future time . what every terminator fan wants. win win for everyone.
the studio gets a futuristic world with futuristic vehicles and machines. that way they can have big scale action. we get a young Sarah and old John. it would be a reboot and a new original movie.

Clarke is a great pick for Sarah Connor, she can be both tough and vulnerable, something a young Sarah needs to be.

Wish they had gotten Brie but Emilia's alright, I guess. I'm still a bit skeptical in general about the project despite the involvement of Ellisons but I'm ready to be enticed over when more details arrived.

Ya since the beginning Megan has been my hope for this film, and she seems to be surrounding herself with good people with it, so I hope she continues that.

I love how John Connor's look has had no consistency whatsoever throughout all of these movies but the studios are so determined to keep Arnold in it that they might spend millions on CGI to make a 66-year-old look like an unaging robot.

Yeah, with their involvement I hope it prevents from it being a cookie cutter reboot. Hopefully the new trilogy will inject new elements while expanding its mythology to keep it from feeling stale, like keeping Arnold, it's clear the reason why but he feels more like a restriction than an asset, when it's a reboot they should be able to go the whole way, I know I sound negative when I'm just being skeptic but I guess I feel so burned out by Salvation.

Nick Stahl is in and out of rehab, ironically part of why they didn't let Edward Furlong reprise the role.

So we've had Edward Furlong--Nick Stahl--Christian Bale--Jason Clarke.

So he went the alcoholic path? Wow, that sucks. I actually thought he did a great job as John.
I didn't, the dude didn't seem anything like John Connor to me, it just didn't fit the profile imo.

Having a healthy Furlong willing to play John Connor would have probably been the most preferred choice.

I like Stahl in general but I agree with this. Possibly unpopular opinion but I thought Bale was good as adult future Connor.
