Arnold Is Back for Terminator 5 - Part 1

I read somewhere that playing John Connor was something he always wanted. Kind of like Amy Adams with Lois Lane.

Arnold's Terminator will be the protector yet again and so with the likely possibility of a bad Terminator coming after Sarah..Who would you like to be casted for that role?

I know I would be in the very minority group but I wouldn't be against Vin Diesel or The Rock

That doesn't mean he was suited for it.

Edward Furlong these days would be a terrible John Connor too.

I'd rather have someone of normal build like Robert Patrick. After seeing him as Khan I wouldn't be against Benedict Cumberbatch.

So did I, along with basically everything else about T3. And yet I'm not too hot on the idea of a reboot either.
I actually liked T3. :csad:

The Rock as a Terminator? Hell yeah!

True.

The only way I see Arnold as a Terminator in this reboot is if his skin ages naturally and we see a 60ish year old man whose really a robot underneath after 20-30 years being her protector.

It makes more sense than he being a "fresh off the line" cyborg who inexplicably looks like a 60 year old.

And I'd still find it a stretch to accept.

I liked T3 and Salvation just fine,Nowhere near the level of T1 and especially T2 so they are the weakest of the franchise but overall I don't they're that horrible,I have all of them in my dvd collection and still watch all of them during Terminator marathons..Although I do prefer watching the first two much more

I firmly believe the series should have ended with T2, and 3 and 4 did nothing to change my mind, so yea, not really interested in this, especially since how it looks like they're basically remaking T1, which does not in any way need to be remade, and I'm not really interested in seeing Linda Hamilton replaced by Emilia Clarke, or Michael Biehn replaced by Nicholas Hoult or whoever, and a 66-year-old Arnold walking around continuing to pretend he's still relevant.

:funny:

The idea of someone like The Rock or Vin Diesel playing a Terminator, to me, is boring as hell. Like how cliched and predictable can casting get?

That's why I'd find it much more interesting to have someone who's far from the bodybuilder mold, hearkening back to Robert Patrick. Cumberbatch could be interesting. Since his name was tossed around for John Connor, Hardy could probably do it too, though a lot of people have gotten the inaccurate idea stuck in their heads between Warrior and TDKR that Hardy is some kind of muscleman in his day to day life when he's really not at all.

I'm not that excited either and agree T1 shouldn't be remade,I'm not sure about the concept of the terminator being sent to protect Sarah for years and enjoyed the T-800 being the bad guy and trying to kill Sarah in the original.

However..I'll probably still end up checking this out,I can't really judge this one yet until the full official synopsis is released along with a trailer

Perhaps terminators are able to accept some kind of tissue transplant for its look but it doesn't stop the fact that they're slowly aging, which could be a side effects of a terminator slowly losing its power. That way they could squeeze a "I'm getting too old for this ****"" joke in there somewhere.

Great, then I can include a snarky "yes you are" snipe in my review, like I did with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon 4. I'm half-joking.

I would have loved to see what Cameron's ideas for T3 originally were. The story should have gone on, it's just sad it was taken over by subpar filmmakers. To me I hope this gets it back on track.

T1 will always be there, and if they are not doing a full reboot and a ST09 type then T1 and T2 can still stay cannon. I never understood worry of those types of things because I will always have my blu-ray's of T1 and T2.

Cumberbatch would be cool, but in the next few years they may be over-exposing him, especially if its true that he may be in Episode VII.

I'm still a huge Arnold fan/feel he can still do enough action despite his age and missed him in Salvation..But I'm starting to not want him involved in this one,Just doesn't make much sense to have him in it even as a non-terminator character..although him playing the man behind the original T-800's using his younger self as the template would be interesting.

This seems like a full reboot and so he shouldn't be involved except maybe doing a cameo as a military general,Even IF this a Star Trek style reboot it still won't make sense or be that great of idea even IF they explain that the T-800 has aged as an old man,Using CGI young Arnold faces for most of the movie wouldn't be that either.

IF they're going to reboot the whole thing then I think it's time for new Terminators including new T-800's

Cumberbatch would be a great bad Terminator but I still want Diesel or Rock as one or to be the new T-800 too,They may be"boring/cliche and predictable"for some and sucks for you then but I admit I'm thinking what I'd personally enjoy than others will

They wouldn't be able to pull it off.
