"Surprising force" means Baby Canary, I'll wager.

I sure hope surprising force means Constantine, Evelyn, Nyssa and Merlyn as well as Ray Sara and Kendra after the finale of Legends.

I wouldn't be surprised that the so called surprising force is someone Felicity Related. It's all about Felicity at this point or Malcolm, who's forced and overstayed welcome is almost as bad as her.

Ray and Sara would be back in town by now, huh? (Assuming LOT doesn't end with them leaving again, or something.) Seeing maybe Sara, Nyssa, and Evelyn working together would be really cool. Constantine would also make sense, and would be an exciting surprise appearance. I do remember how enjoyable it was to have Katana along with Team Arrow in S3. Doing the same with Constantine would be great.

[BLACKOUT]So everyone but Felicity leaves and gets the last word of the season.[/BLACKOUT]
[BLACKOUT]Oliver kills Dhark and becomes Mayor[/BLACKOUT]

Hopefully they refocus next season on Oliver's story, but not holding my breath

Edit: [BLACKOUT]Just realize this ending is a call back to Season 3 ending: S3 Oliver and Felicity leaves everyone, now everyone leaves them[/BLACKOUT]

Go figure. They could've used this opportunity to have Laurel leave and train with Nyssa/Shiva.

[BLACKOUT]On the one hand, yay for maybe having Oliver be the only hero for a few episodes next season; that'd be cool. On the other...of course they'd do this. This is the stupidest...what even? How do they even manage to justify this? I won't see the episode until tomorrow so now I'm really scared. Y'all. I shouldn't even be surprised.[/BLACKOUT]

Decided to watch tonight's episode, with no real context of what has changed, aside from what I've heard in recaps.

First of all, why the hell is the loft Felicity's apartment? That was Thea's apartment, that she gave to Oliver, and yet somehow, like a gold-digging ex-wife, Felicity gets the house?

Second of all, was I watching Arrow, or the Dark Knight Rises? Because the main arc was pretty much that story to a tee.

Third ... It was overall very underwhelming. After last night's Flash ending, I was expecting something more, and from the looks of it, this show will not be affected by Flash at all.

I watched the finale only because it's the season finale and if it's affected by the Flash's season finale. Basically it is not affected which may mean that Flash may not be doing Flashpoint, but rather going back to the original timeline.

Overall this was underwhelming and that ending was the opposite of last season's finale. It sums up the problem with this season. Until they improve the show, not watching next season.

But you have too watch next season too see if they improve.

Personally, when it comes to the quality of this show, I have found myself agreeing with a lot of the posters here. Plus, if the show's quality suddenly went back up, news about it would make its way online.

So unless I hear that this show has significantly improved in Season 5, I won't be watching it again. I was also thinking about dropping Legends until my interest was piqued by the closing moments of its recent finale.

I'm so far behind on Legends that I don't even think I'm going to finish it. I know about the final moments of the season, and unless I see some cool stuff at comic con about what next season will be about, I don't think I'm going to be interested enough to catch up.

As for Arrow, it's just comically bad at this point. I was describing the episode to my friend who doesn't watch it, and it just sounds so ridiculous, especially for what was supposed to be the most grounded show of the bunch. I'm seriously not excited at all for anything, which sucks because the last two season finales have had me interested to see where Roy, Thea and Laurel go, and 2/3 aren't even on the show anymore. At this point, I'm struggling to find a reason of why I should care.

Most episodes is just everyone blaming themselves for something that's gone wrong, on top of Felicity and Oliver. I'm hoping that the events in Flash shake things up.

Also that last f'n line by Felicty "you think I'd leave? Not a chance." Such a dig at the fans.

When every crazy thing in The Flash is more believable than magic, let alone Nukes on Arrow shows something is greatly wrong.

This season and the finale were so meh to bad. Outside of 3 nice action scenes, I can't think of anything that was a stand out for me, or cool to remember.

Finale was good, especially the mood at the end and Oliver taking over as mayor. This season started rather promising, but it fell apart toward the last third or so. The island flashbacks were especially disappointing - they seem to have forgotten they are supposed to be building to the Oliver of Season 1. And the decision to kill Laurel was a gut punch to my motivation to watch. Also, doesn't it seem like Oliver's fighting skills have diminished? He gets beaten much more than in Season 1-2. It's kinda weird they did that.

All in all, as meh as this season was, I think if Laurel hadn't been killed I'd still rate it a success. With that kind of a blow though, I'd say this is the worst season so far because it was a big mistake and removed...something...the show desperately needed. I don't know if it was Laurel's common sense or just Cassidy as a familiar screen presence, or what, but without her it's just...different. I'm not sure what S5 holds in store but the one thing I'm hopeful about is the potential "Daredevil/Punisher" dynamic.

The Dark Arrow Rises was pretty horrible, and actually didn't make much sense on the character motive front.

Please just kill Merlin already.

Despite how much was going on in this episode I just couldn't get invested, there were some good moments, but the pacing of the episode just seemed odd, and the final showdown with Darhk just wasn't satisfying for me. Not gonna watch season 5 unless I hear great things about it after it's done.

It bothers me so much that they won't kill Malcolm.

The finale was a rollercoaster. The flashbacks were another waste but I'm glad they addressed ARGUS. And did the writers forget what Ollie did to Ra's in the season 3 finale? Clearly, cause he's beating himself over the head about it as if it wasn't ****ing necessary.

This was just bad. ALL THE NUKES in the whole world were launched? How is that appropriate for an Arrow finale? Besides, that is so ridiculous and terrible. And the writing overall for this episode was baaaad. The dialogue was very on-the-nose and just forced. The only thing I liked was the part with Oliver becoming mayor, and even that was almost ruined by a stupid line from the city government guy, with a stupid reply from Oliver.
Plus I was just completely baffled by the utter lack of any sense of urgency when freaking nuclear missiles are headed to blow up basically the whole world. And they're having heart-to-heart talks and cleaning up the cave.
