Also, notice the shape of the tomahawk. Look familiar? :woot::up:

Yes I did! It is pretty freaking awesome. Glad we got this setting. I'm really digging the look of it. (So far)

Well, my interest just evaporated.

Complete opposite for me. My interest in this series was at an all time low after Revelations, hell i couldn't even bring myself to finish it. An American setting or a game featuring ninjas was the only thing that could of brought me back.

I'm not fully excited about the time period, especially since I was hoping for a full Desmond game and no more ancestors, but any look at the new game is awesome to me.

I still want to see this in the future.

I feel exactly the same. I still haven't finished Revelations. It's so freaking boring. I'm so tired of jus being Ezio. Three freaking games in the same time period with the same character really killed it for me.

I somewhat agree. I really would've liked to see Desmond, but there's always the problem of: How the hell do you incorporate 2012 America into an Assassin's Creed game? You can't scale buildings and there's no need for swords. That eliminates 2 key components of the series.

Yup. I'll make myself finish it, eventually, but like you said, damn that game bored me.

Honestly, i was never a fan of the whole Abstergo/Futuristic/Desmond storyline. When this series was first announced way back when, i just wanted it to be a period piece featuring assassins that focused on bad ass sword combat. I mean I'm eager to find out what happens with Desmond, but I'm much more interested in the assassins and fighting dudes with swords.

Party-pooper.

A Colonial America doesn't have the architecture to make a game as fun to play and explore. The history is sort of there but it's so obvious and still pales in comparison to the potential in Europe or Asia.

I'll still play it but it won't be until it's $20 new.

Outside of Asia i can't think of anywhere else id like to go. I hate Russia, so i deff wouldn't want to see anything there. London could of been cool i guess.

From Kotaku. Not confirmed to be legit yet, but...

This pretty much confirmed to me that this is the real deal. :awesome: You can even see the Ubisoft symbol in the bottom right. YES!

As to the words of Two Best Friends Play....

AMERICA!

It's a natural progression, imo, for AC3 to lead into America since they travelled to New York in AC: Revelations.

This...is...aces

Was hoping for French Revolution Paris myself but I'll take Colonial USA.

Made a mistake by playing II and Brotherhood back to back a couple months ago, now I have to go through Revelations and I'm not feeling yet.

After looking at some images of Colonial USA, I'm reminded of Blackwater from Red Dead Redemption, and I think it can work really well in an environment like that.

If this is true then consider me excited!

What if the climbing aspect of the game is downplayed to focus on a new or updated mechanic? There are plenty of buildings to climb in 1770's Boston and Philadelphia. Or it could be a game taking place in the wilderness, and you have to hunt to survive and can climb trees.

After pretty much giving up on this series after Revelations, I am VERY interested in this after seeing the poster.

Holy damn I hope thats true, he looks bad ass.

Wait - how are they going to do parcour if big cities didn't even exist then? Will it just be a bunch of small towns or something?

Wasn't Boston quite a large city at the time this will supposedly take place?

If its around 1770, then yea, the city would be quite accessible for free running.

The print below is from when New York was still New Amsterdam in 1673:
