Assassin´s Creed III

Boston and New York would be perfect. As great as ninjas or Japan would have been, it comes off as taking the easy way out. I love that they thought outside of the box on this one

Also a question about AC:R - if that was early December, why did NY look so green?

There's also this pic from GI's site. Actually it's a screenshot since they took it down.

I love the look of the new Assassin. He looks great. Im glad they are going in a different direction after 3 straight years of the same damn thing. I loved the improvements made in ACII and Ezio's saga but I was burned out by the time ACR came about. I hope they do get a new game mechanic and this does play different past games. I hope they think outside the box and it isnt simply just the same ol AC just in a new city/era

As long as the new character is as well developed as Ezio was in II, this should be great.

They've been working on this game for at least 3 years and they have said all along that they want each numbered AC game to be a significant jump forwards. I don't think we're going to be getting 'more of the same'

I've been warming up to the idea. I really had my heart set on Imperial Russia since it's my favorite period and I think it would work great with the series. A Colonial America does have some good potential. Especially if he's like a Native American Batman.

I'd rather them save the more interesting and different time periods for the next Conduit Assassin after Desmond. Also I'm really pumped about getting a break from straight sword play combat. We'll get a few games with this Assassin which will feel different, then they can go somewhere back in time even further and sword fighting will seem kinda new again, or rather, we'll have less hack and slash fatigue.

I can really dig the 'Revolution'-era Assassin. It'd be a very, very interesting time period that's never really been done before. I mean, alot like the Crusades and The Age of Enlightenment...eras that I'm not sure were ever visited by console games.

I'm really excited to see what they've come up with, with all these years of work they've put into this one.

And yeah, they have a bar to reach with how well Ezio was done and just really fleshed out.

I have seen some worry that Colonial America will not have enough buildings for parkour or traversing in general. Here are a few illustrations of Boston in 1770's. Lots of potential.

Complete opposite for me. My interest in this series was at an all time low after Revelations, hell i couldn't even bring myself to finish it. An American setting or a game featuring ninjas was the only thing that could of brought me back.

Agreed.

I think we'll get the Ninja Assassin eventually. Assassin's Creed, I believe, has ALOT of steam in it...mostly because of the endless possibilities.

I can EASILY see them do some spin-off, outside of Desmond's bloodline to get us into very different places.

The Egypt setting, was one concept that still sounds interesting to me if done right.

I'm eager to see the possibilities in customizing this Assassin.

The ways I could customize Ezio's attire, dying the colors and choosing to keep cloth or going with armor and whatnot...seeing the options they could unleash in this setting can be really, really cool.

Draping myself an American striped cloak, for example.

What could be really quite good would be the imperial nations of Europe, each being factions of Templars. And the American Revolution was led by Assassin's, or something.

Well, they have dropped hints throughout the AC games that there have been key historical figures that were on the frontlines of the Assassin's/Templars war.

I think they've mentioned that George Washington, at one point, had a piece of eden himself.

And I'm pretty sure I'll find myself finishing Revelations before we reach October, now.

I think it would make more sense if the revolutionaries were templars and the Brits just showed no allegiance or something. The other games pretty much confirmed that the USA was being controlled by the templars for years. It would be neat if it was an all Templar country.

I'd say that's real if it weren't for the font on the side matching the font of the front like all of the rest of the games.

But it is bad ass real or fake.

I just creamed a little. Ever since AC I, I've been LONGING for a game in this series set in the American Revolution. BRING IT ON!!

Btw, wonder what the new character's name will be?

It's real. The Official Assassin's Creed Facebook page JUST posted this, and the cover art for the XB360 and PC versions, too.
