Is it The Revolutionary War or the American civil War? Either way, yay for Assassin's Creed 3!
Revolutionary.
And I quite like the sci-fi aspect.

Frankly, I find the whole gods/aliens, Adam and Eve, 2012 doomsday thing is pretty convoluted and boring. The best parts of the game are when it's taking place in the historical setting, not dealing with the sci-fi stuff.
They didn't need the animus to explain a HUD or why characters are speaking English. The fact that it's a video game is enough.
I can respect that and see your point but the entire series has been leading up to the stuff in the persent day with the sci-fi elements. It cant stay in the past forever and to progress the series forward it needs to eventually deal with the character progression and revelations which Desmond has uncovered. It would be a huge dissapointment if none of that comes into play and/or is downplayed. One of my main gripes with Revelations was that it didnt realyl do anything to push Desmond's story forward at all and in fact was too disconnected from the game in a large way as opposed to being a central point and seamingly interwined with the past segments through the Animus.Frankly, I find the whole gods/aliens, Adam and Eve, 2012 doomsday thing is pretty convoluted and boring. Boring means uninteresting.Boring?
I thought it was insane. Like...crazy. But, I'm not sure how it could be seen as boring. Maybe you mean uninteresting to you or something. But, the bat****-crazy aspect of it keeps it away from being boring, I think.
Where it gets convoluted, I think, is trying to keep track of whose who and what side throughout history and how they blend they're fiction with history. But, mostly because of how they bounce from time to time throughout many of the puzzles. Some of it is good, but I could see how that could be convoluted.

I have every Assasins Creed game and have only played something like 20 minutes of 2.
I agree with the fellow, who said that thing.

I must be in the minority, because while I do enjoy the historical aspect of these games, the main storyline about the whole doomsday thing and whatnot is what I like the most.
Its a great game but more of the same. ACR doesnt do anything innovative with the series or push it forwad. Its more of a lateral move and a point where the series plateu'dI had no interest in playing Revelations (probably never will play it) and kind of burnt out on AC after Brotherhood, but the images released today have got me very pumped about ACIII.![]()
I have a name![]()
I think I read somewhere that he does have Native American heritage. And based on the cover image of Game Informer and the cover art, I wouldn't be surprised if he shared facial similarities to Desmond the same way Ezio and Altair did when they were young. I would even bet he has a cut on his lip. He's mixed isn't he? That was the vibe I got.
They've said that III is the ending, though.
Granted, far be it for them to change their minds, but at this point...it should be.
