Anyone know how to get more firebarrels in the Fleet minigames? I can't buy them and I don't know how to get anymore.

Can't wait to craft the shark hunter outfit. I figure since Edward isn't a true assassin, might as well not dress like one.:oldrazz:

I unlocked the Edward The Legend skin, that's a good pirate look.

Been wondering that myself. I obtained one firebarrel after a mission, but for the most part theyre pretty scarce.

Also, why do some of the mini games take minutes-hours to be available?

Best way to obtain them is by helping your friends ships. When you go into your Fleet map, if your buddies have sent any ships out you'll have the option to speed them up, heal them or escort them and that gives you a fire barrel.

I know nobody who has this game. :p

Same...lol. My PSN list is empty. But you can still win battles without the fire barrels. They're just like 1hit KO weapons. I won a battle without them.

all i use are man o wars. also i don't like the mini game, it is boring and you can't skip the battles. the time is based on your ship's speed. so a faster ship travels in a mission much faster than a larger ship.

I'm guessing Man o Wars are the ship to use? Fastest? But they're a ***** to capture...

I would like a tri-hat. The Assassin outfit is all well and good when I'm sneaking through alleyways and forts, but when I'm swashbuckling around on my ship, I want to look like a captain. Where/when can I get a more sailor-style suit?

Through a UPlay unlock I believe.

Man o wars do the most damage, but have the longest travel time. They are the slowest. So keep a faster ship or two if you don't like waiting.

All I have are Man O Wars in my fleet now. I sold off the rest to buy more dock slots.

I've actually 'cheated' on several of the missions where you have to take over a ship if I know I'm totally outgunned by several ships. I get as close as I can to the biggest one and try to corner it somewhere and I board it by myself. I kill everyone there, go back to my ship, fire on it and take it sometimes in less than a minute. Sometimes it doesn't work and it respawns people by magic.

I like to stealth board sometimes too. You can kill the people but they reappear during boarding. Some easy tactics for destroying ships are the forts. Get some ships you attack close and your fort will hit them with cannons. when fighting multiple ships always board each one to repair the jackdaw. Then you can resume the fight with replenished health.

For a legendary ship just stay as close as you can. Never on the side where it can hit you with cannons. Rather stay behind where you can fire your side cannons. You can also stay in from but you have to worry about a ram. So staying in the back is best. It's so slow you can maneuver to always stay at its back. I don't range and mortal this ship because it has more mortars and are more powerful. Staying close I can hit it and recieve few to no damage.

The most tense part of the game has to be the swimming missions. Just you, little air pockets and several sharks.

Haha yea. The eels are forever spooking me. I don't see em til it's too late

Wait...So..I *have* to swim? *shudder*

Back to the subject of GameStop branding the case.. Wal-Mart and Target both did this to theirs as well. All three of them have "exclusive" dlc.

i used to get tense when underwater. then i went for the shark attack challenge. survive 5 shark attacks. just trying to get into a quicktime event took some doing. i got bumped by alot of sharks but had to be in a certain position to initiate the quicktime event. then i tried to see what happened if i ran out of air while doing the shark attack stuff. really nothing happens. you slowly lose health till you die. dying does nothing to you so this made me lose all pressure i felt trying to keep air and stay alive underwater. now i just look for the shortest path to a chest or animus. if i die i already know where and where not to go so i just breeze through it.

There's one mandatory mission underwater as far as I know. I've just been doing them all to get them out of the way. It's really cool though. There's tons of sunken ships, manta rays, ruins and it's the only way to get certain ship upgrades.

This guy amped up the tension for video game sharks..

The underwater missions are scary as hell. Really hate the frogger minigames
