Ubisoft Assassin's Creed Mirage

Man, I hope we get Jesper Kyd back for the music on this one. Also, I really miss the Lorne Balfe era of AC music. Revelations and 3 had bangin' soundtracks.

Assassin's Creed Mirage May Be Rated Adults Only Due to Real Gambling

This has since been debunked by Ubi.

I do have to laugh at Middle Eastern Assassin Creed is coming out before the Prince of Persia remake.

I also think their Japan version is going to be coming out way, way too late.

A rich setting like ancient China reduced to mobile. What a damn shame.

Yeah but its the 2nd time it is featured in a spin off game. Maybe they could revisit it some day.

I hope the report of them going back to annual release is true. I liked the Rogue/Syndicate/Unity sized games, they just need to improve upon the story. I don't need really a single game that needs to be finished for 150 hours+ then be eXpanded for like 5 times that I would just miss because its behind a paywall.

10 Assassin's Creed Games Reportedly in the Pipeline at Ubisoft

1. Mirage (Iraq)
2. Red (Japan)
3. HeXe
4. Jade (China, mobile)
5. Invictus (multiplayer)
6. NeXus (VR)
7. NeXus 2 (VR)
8. Nebula (India, Aztec, Mediterranean)
9. Raid (free to play 4 players)
10. Echoes (multiplayer)

Its a lot. I'm skipping multiplayer, mobile, VR and the free to play.

4...5 if Jade would have been Consoles are what im interested in.

As much as i love innovation in gaming, the AC game Foundation is good enough for me as it is so that they can sell me these games without doing a lot.
Like i love the basic gameplay as it is, the slight upgrades etc are enough.
You dont have to change them or anything, as long as i get these big open worlds in different timelines etc...im here for AC.

The Rest im not into and i dont have VR.

Yeah that sucks, but its good for my wallet.
And if i have to choose, i would rather see Japan and maybe Germany with Hexe on big consoles.

Footage from Ac jade is out there, it looks good for a mobile game.

Okay that date turned out to be legit. The visuals look nice. I'm eXcited about Mirage since it won't be bloated as Valhalla and its already 2 years and a half since Valhalla came out. Odyssey was great. Origins was good. Valhalla was still good but I don't need a 4th ac game like those three again.

Ubisoft should go back to Syndicate/Unity/Black Flag. Meaning Ac games should still be massive, beautiful looking photorealistic graphics but it doesn't need to be as bloated as Valhalla. I kinda got sick that they dragged the story of Eivor through dlcs for two years. Like I appreciated the free eXpansions, but the dlcs that aren't free aren't really substantial and an Ac game doesn't need to have a gigantic skill tree. Sometimes less is more.

I hope Mirage somehow gets really great reviews that it will convince Ubisoft not to make Assassin's Creed a permanent live service game in the future.

I do wonder if they didn't turn AC into a real rpg? I get that Origins and Odyssey were successful to them critically and Valhalla is officially the most selling ac game based on their reports.

However, the gameplay pre Origins was already good, Unity/Syndicate look great and still looks great to this day, they just need a UHD update. What was the lacking in those games are the story but Ac doesn't need to be bigger in scope in order to make the story better. Spider-Man Insomniac games in comparison are much shorter but have better reviews.

It’s lovely to see the Middle East in a game again. It’s such an exciting location

I cannot wait for this. Its been too long since the last Assassin's Creed game. Game looks amazing! The order is finally restored.:palps:

That’s good, smaller is better. We don’t need games that go on for like, a hundred hours.

unless they’re something like Skyrim or gta of course

For me it depends on the story.

Like if there's a game that would feature every country in the world, or a life of a character through different life stages up to death. I'd be fine if its a 500 hour game.

But Valhalla's eXpansions didn't seem to have any direction at all. It was eXtending the story that was already long/dragging enough. Some of the free content, I didn't even bother completing, like the one that sends you to another realm that is like Roguelike.

I did play its final story eXpansion (which is free) and I kinda got some feels, when I saw the "thank you for playing" on the screen. It was the first Ac game that I followed from the rumours, the day it was announced, I bought it during its launch week and up to its final free update. Though from my save files, I somehow still spent more time with Odyssey...

If it keeps giving fresh content, its fine.
Odyssey was too big imo that reached the point where you have seen Everything, pretty fast.
Valhalla less so to me.

Big worlds are fine to me, problem is that they often just feel like copy/Paste.
One region looking like the other, camps etc all the same.

But i do appreciate smaller games for sure.
Good old levels and stuff, short but sweet.
Both is good if done right.

I dont want them to go away from the Formula they have now with Valhalla...i love the gameplay and style too much.
But that doesnt mean they cant do different, smaller AC games.
So i do like that Mirage is so much smaller...as long as the next big AC is...big again.

I'm a fan of the massive big skill. They should definitely lessen that moving Ubisoft Forward.
