Assassin's Creed Unity may be one of two Assassin's Creed games releasing this fall. Unity, according to Kotaku, will release on Xbox One and PS4, and is set at least partially in 18th century Paris. The other, codenamed Comet, will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Early screenshots obtained by Kotaku showcase Parisian locales such as Notre Dame and the Seine River, as well as a new male assassin adorned in a black uniform, brandishing a rapier, and holstering at least one pistol. Also notable is the button interface, which introduces a new "parkour up" and "parkour down" navigation system.

Loving this game thus far.

Iceman, about the single player stuff. Yes, some of the stuff being effected is single player content.

The thing that annoys me about that above review, complaining about British accents.

They are French characters speaking English, how should they sound? In France, they weren't speaking French-accented English, they were speaking FRENCH!

Was Les Miserables ruined because all the French actors were speaking with English accents? This is common practice for English-language media that happens to be sent in a French-speaking region. Geez.

The only thing I find weird is that they do it all three ways. There are mainly British leads, but there are also those that speak French and those that speak English in French accents.

It isn't like there isn't a history of this. They seem to change how they do it with every game.

You can change the Language to French, Spanish, and even Portuguese before you start the game so any reviewers that are taking issue with authenticity could just set the game's language option to French.

hmm this reminds me of the NBC version of Hommers the odyssey

Odysseus/ Ulysses with the actor Armodo sontity(I'm sure I spelt it wrong I'll correct it i a second ) here it is (Armand Assante)
The Odyssey (TV miniseries)
The Odyssey is a 1997 Emmy Award -winning and Golden Globe -nominated British- ... miniseries aired in two-parts beginning on May 18, 1997 on NBC . ...

I think he's from spain it was him who played Odysseus and he actually was closer to the Greek accent compared to every other version that used Brits. I remember alot of people back then liked it way better then any other version cause they bothered to do that.

Including that one with Angelina Jolie, which was a big movie where people were wondering what the hell accent she was doing among brit actors. which they claim was already messed up. I think it was that Alexander one that Collin Farrel did, that was dissed by alot of other people.

Any way I kinda understand why this happens these day's. lol it's a "just cause done most of the time, Alot of the time it's done," it doesn't mean it'll be the best version we'll ever get.

this isn't uncommon ether.

Many English-language movies do this. Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise and directed by Bryan Singer. He just had all the actors speak in their natural accents, even though all the main leads were German characters.

Count of Monte Cristo. Many big successful movies follow this practice.

Altair spoke with an American accent in the first game. Other characters spoke in accented English.

It's a stupid thing to complain about.

Still not uncommon ether. Don't let it get to you. beside if it didn't matter Ezio would have sounded like he's from modern day Brooklyn. lol

The best thing about this game might be the co-op missions. When you can get them to work, they are great. Terrific variety, with fantastic presentation.

I know this, which is why I mentioned the history. I am not complaining about it. Though in terms of immersion it is pretty careless.

Hey it bothered me Collin Ferrel couldn't do American accent for the DD movie where in every other movie he did it flawlessly. But couldn't be bothered for that one that was just weird and other o this forum have see mention that more the once. it's a immersion thing indeed .

Other wise most of time he's a very good actor most of the time . I saw one complain about Nolan Norths penguin in Arkham, just cause he did the stereotypical governor talk that's been know since the orphan David copperfield literature came about & actors did that Foe accent alot people make noise about that too with their dislike of it.

Nolan North's Cobblepot was ridiculously good.

I'm ok with it. but some people including brits can't stand it. especially the words governor or any with the accent that went along with the old stereotype of it that actor's that weren't brits that did it. lol so in my book every ones been offended by actor's that can pull off those accent's or know for them.

Sucks to hear all the bad news surrounding this title. I wont dare touch this title till they fix it. AC 1 was absolutely broken and it soured my entire experience of it to the point that I just didn't care when they did fix it. I don't want my first impressions with this to be that negative

Personally, in over 5 hours of play I've only experienced one of those glitches. I fell through the floor once. Some faint flickering during cutscenes, and some hideous pop-in aside, it's not enough to ruin the game for me. I've seen worse glitches and instability from the Fallout games. And Elder Scrolls have glitches to rival these.

Two patches are already live with more on the way. Tho I doubt they can do much for the framerate. There's simply too many NPC's on screen at one time and patches probably can't do much about that. It's just something we're likely going to have to accept with this game.

To be fair.. I've seen dips on FPS in pretty much e dry AC game ever.

I remember Valkyrie did that interesting thing where they were speaking German at the beginning and the end, and the transition from German to English let us know that they were effectively supposed to be speaking German throughout the film, only it was in English for us to understand.

I'm assuming everyone that complains about this stuff just wants to read subtitles.

It was amazing. I didn't believe it when I was told it was Nolan North.

well, just exchanged this for Shadows of Mordor instead.

just too many negatives against it. I think I'll wait till Rogue gets ported to X1/PS4.

First thoughts on the game. Originally was not going to get it, but my PS4 broke so I sold it and got the assasins creed xbox one deal from gamestop cause it was such a good deal. I love the customization of the game, but there are just to many glitches. The amount of NPC's is really cool, but I think they might have overstretched themselves. If you are on the fence, I'd say don't buy.

Well,I think everyone who is a fan of the franchise owes it to themselves to at least play the game once, but I wouldn't encourage anyone to pay $60 for it. When it drops to around $20 however I would highly recommend it. At times it's gorgeous and it really does offer a ton of stuff to do.

Yeah 20 bucks seems fair I guess. Personally I'm glad I got it free, I'd feel robbed if I payed 60 for it. Also, what's with the the combat Ubisoft. It got worse from what it was in Black Flag.

I think the combat is better in theory. It's not as mindless. You actually have to pay attention. That being said it needs a lot of polish. At times there are too many things going on at once and I can't even see my own character for the swarm of enemies and then I'm killed by some shooter that's off screen on a roof somewhere. And the dodge mechanic is rusty at best so the so-called tip telling me to "press X to dodge bullets" is about as helpful as a wailing baby during a late night break-in.
