The first image of Assassin´s Creed III just surfaced.
It will be set during the French Revolution, which i was expecting since the rumors when the AC2 was in the making.
Here is the new hero...
Well it should probably be more impressive than RDR since in RDR the forest and mountains were largely just scenerey, whereas here in AC it's a playground for you to traverse.
I haven't played an AC game...I've always wanted to just never did and I'm a stickler for contuinuity so I never bought the sequels but I've always heard how amazing these games are so I've always been intruiged especially since I love history and the templars....but now its coming to america and I'm a HUGE American History buff and the fact that they are coming stateside and making the Title character half native american and british has my Interest peaked to the highest...I'm definitly getting this and I'm also borrow all the previos games from a friend...putting MW3 down and focusing all my gaming to thise franchise until this games release.....I'M EXCITED...haven't been this EXCITED since Arkham City lol
The game is like Crack lol I have all these other great games but somehow I'm mezmerized by MW3 and constantly wanting to play as much as I can and prestige and prestige and prestige....I know...stupid...but I can't help myselfGood move. t:
If there's one thing that grabbed my attention about this franchise, it's the history aspect. The fact that we could play through these different settings sold me. Backed up with the fact that there's awesome stories and protagonists, the games are just loads of fun.

Hey, we all have our 'things.' I am not a fan of most FPS games but there is an undeniable sweet satisfaction of making some 'sh_t talker' go into rage mode and quit cause you've sniped his face off 10 times in a match t:

As a historian it is good to see that a lot of the history (minus the whole aliens part) is rather accurate. I've never done much on the American Revolution, so maybe next year, after I've played the game, I'll do a case study on it.
Hrm?
AMERICAN Revolution, not French Revolution. (Although I still believe, deep down, that there'll be "Brotherhood" and "Revelation"-type spinoffs that carry the action overseas to France.)
thats a post he made back in April of 2011. Thread Manager just recycled the first post of the old threadHrm?
It's a post that goes way back to the first thread. Thread Manager seems to always carry the very first post from an original thread.
http://www.gamepodunk.com/page/inde...ing-retail-shelves-as-early-as-next-week-r244Assassin's Creed III is on everybody's mind following the big reveal that the franchise will be tackling the New World in the Revolutionary War.
The franchise's most recent installment has innumerable routes to explore, but eager fans are more than willing to do their part to obtain freedom from the corruption of the Templars.
While your adventure may not begin until October, starting as early as March 10th you can secure your own piece of templar treasure. Best Buy and FutureShop have secured an early pre-order that will be hitting their shelves very soon. This G1-sized steelbook boasts some superb artwork and great for fans and collectors alike.
Now to the question on everybody's mind. How does one secure their own steelbook?
Simply find the case in store, typically located in Best Buy's gaming department, and place a $5 pre-order deposit on Assassin's Creed III. At this point the steelbook is yours and the deposit will then be deducted from your purchase of the full game in October*.
A rumor is currently floating about that Gamestop will also be receiving a steelbook, but there seems to be no confirmation one way or the other. Personally, I suggest getting in on this deal early because this particular bonus is one that will undoubtedly go fast.
