Assassin´s Creed III - Part 1

While that is very true, it does feel kinda strange having played 4 iterations of AC (5 if you include AC3) with assassins having bad ass costumes, and in walks Assassin Desmond wearing jeans and a hoodie. Like I said, it makes perfect sense, but it does almost seem silly because of the costume "de-evolution".

Well let's not forget that Assassins are a dying breed at this point. I'm sure they don't want their presence known by wearing some intricate outfit. The idea that started it in the first game worked well because Altair could blend in easily with crowds. The way they dress today is perfect for being inconspicuous.

have they said how much we will be able to control Desmond in present day?

or is most of the game going to be Conner?

also, will we be able to change/color our costumes?

Oh I know. Like I said, it makes perfect sense, but I can see how some might find it hard to swallow from a purely asthetic point of view.

I'm sure these have been posted before, but DAMN these costumes are awesome!

I wonder why the delay for the PC. I mean...I can wait...but still...
It's more of a focus issue some times, that and man power too which they possibly don't have. Once it's ready you'll appreciate it more.

My post was meant to support yours, not negate it. I probably didn't make that clear.

During the SDCC panel they had, Alex Hutchinson was asked about PC porting and he pretty much said it isn't a priority for them. The way he said it though made it sound, at least to me, like they really don't give a crap about the PC.

I don't have a problem with him wearing A hoodie, I just don't like how THAT hoodie looks. I think the hood looks too small and makes his head look pinheaded. In the Desmond trailer, the hood he's wearing there looks bigger.

Also, I still think there could have been something else added to make him look a bit cooler. Hoodie and jacket combo could have worked, or even a cooler designed hoodie. I like the red and white hoodie and I also liked the Black hoodie from AC Revelations, but even though that's been the staple look for Desmond throughout all his games, I still think there could have been something more added to properly reflect his journey.

yeah that's what I mean by focus issue there are s still some certain people that think that sales for the other console are more important even though thing's like steam, Onlive, Direct 2 drive , and the recent origin have proven other wise.

Capcom in a way has sorta done an about face as have some others in their managerial departments. kojima productions beat them to it but silently. But that doesn't mean there aren't some people there that haven't gotten the message, that all system that play games should be given equal treatment.

It's kinda like what's happening with the "free to play" model with MMO's and some people think once that happens it means "failure" which hasn't been the case in a long time, now which is why DCUO is doing very well with it. but are some people(fans too as well) in that part of the industry and genre of games that don't get it.

But Ubi did recognize that the console should be more powerful and used the pc during their last really big event that had "Watch dogs" in it. it was done as a wake call to the console makers about their next gen consoles. So some parts of it(ubi) are starting to get it too.

For now their main focus is still consoles first(as a priority ). it'll be a little while before it's an all systems are equal motto, that can play games like these for now.

Who does? :oldrazz:

they said it was the game in which Desmond was the most featured. They also said people who don't like Desmond would really appreciate him at the end of the game. and finally, when you read the trophy list, it seems Desmond has several missions to do.

I'm happy because of that. I've liked Desmond segments since AC1 and I've been waiting for him to become the ultimate assassin since then.

Exactly one more week till this comes out and I get a PS3 again

Sweet!

Assassin’s Creed III’s Benedict Arnold Missions Are PS3 Exclusive
Bring the traitor to justice.

We already knew that the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed III would be getting exclusive missions, but now, thanks to the PlayStation Blog, we know the exact nature of those missions. It just so happens that they revolve around the most infamous traitor in American history, Benedict Arnold.

As the Blog explains, “Benedict Arnold’s secret plot to betray West Point and sabotage the American Revolution earned him the ultimate mark of infamy: a name that will forevermore be synonymous with deceit and treachery.” And the four mission arc surrounding him, exclusive to PS3, deals with this “most reviled turncoat.”

The missions start “with a special request from George Washington” having to do with bringing to light the very plot at West Point Benedict Arnold was so heavily involved in. “Across four missions, Connor will flush out Loyalist spies and work undercover for Benedict Arnold, culminating in a full-blown assault on West Point that Connor must halt at all costs.”

Assassin’s Creed III’s scriptwriter, Matt Turner, has promised this story arc to be more realistic than the alternate history take of The Tyranny of King Washington, including actual dialogue thought to have been spoken by Arnold and those around him.

I wonder how "exclusive" they'll be. I'm assuming they'll show up as paid dlc for the other consoles down the road.

Didn't the Brotherhood exclusives stay exclusive?

They did. By the way, the launch trailer is nothing short of brilliant.

I still have an empty outfit slot on revelations, didn't see any dlc for it. Think it was just from preorder bonuses. So that may be the case with AC3.

I'm bloody excited about screwing over Bennidict Arnold.

Can't wait to kill some redcoats.
