Sci-Fi Avatar: The Way Of Water

well she's said Cameron treated her like crap on Titanic. So they must've paid her an awful lot of money for her to agree. Not like she needs it.

Well a lot of time has passed, maybe they've reconciled. After all, Titanic was her breakout role.

Everybody gets treated like crap in Hollywood and always continues to do their thing.

Also she's older now and more secure in her career. So perhaps she has a different perspective on it now.

I mean they do have a child together (Hamilton and Cameron), so maybe they put aside their differences for the family they share.

I thought that we were talking about Kate Winslet here?

Kate recently defended working with Polanski so it's not like she has shame.

Oh is this new? Wow! That increases my interest for sure.

Didn't Cameron tell her she was fat at one point? Why, Kate? Why?

Yes during the filming of Titanic and then she came out and later said "someone would need to pay me a lot of money to work with James Cameron again". And here we are 20 years later.

Cameron is still one of the biggest working directors in town. Hard to say no.

Well moral bankruptcy in Hollywood is nothing new. And Kate appears to really need the money.

You can if you're Kate Winslet. It's not as though she's a up coming actress who needs exposure to audiences. You can if the director in question called you fat on set.

It seems like there's a "take it or leave it" aspect to working with Cameron. Some people can deal with his uber-obsessive controlling perfectionism, and some cannot. On the one hand, you have people like Kate, Ed Harris, and James Horner who vowed to never work with him again (Kate and Horner obviously changed their minds later on).

But then you have Sigourney Weaver, Ahnnaaald, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Jamie Lee Curtis, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sam Worthington who have all spoken highly of him and/or said that they liked working with him.

Also Kate is an established hugely respected actress with an Oscar on her mantle now. So it's more likely that she can make Cameron not do that crap with her again.

He called her fat a while ago. Like a mature adult, she put that aside and chose to work with one of Hollywood's premiere directors. The most successful director at the box office. Is anyone really surprised? He could call me a skinny ***** boy and I'd still work for him.:funny:

Well apparently they made up a while ago too if they went to the premiere of Titanic 3D together and she defended him.

I don't remember any complaints from the actors that worked on Avatar (in terms of the director's behavior), so perhaps Cameron has mellowed out some. Winslet has the clout to say "thank you, but no" but obviously things thawed out or Fox ponied up her asking rate.

I still don't like Cameron. He could be more respectful to his peers like Patty Jenkins, and he keeps on digging that rut.
