Sci-Fi Avatar: The Way Of Water

That's what it sounds like.

Shooting Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 back-to-back, finish them sequentially, and then work on the final two (hence the lack of Avatar films for 2022 and 2023) makes a lot more sense from a financial and filming standpoint.

Not even Star Wars can be safe from franchise fatigue when you release movies every year. The worldwide numbers for Rogue One wasn't particularly impressive.

What? Rouge One made 1 Billion WW, over 500 million Domestically. Rouge One made a killing. I don't think anyone expected Rouge One to touch a billion let alone pass it. I didn't expect anything over 700 million WW for that movie.

While I love Avatar, it won't stand a chance against Star Wars episode films, the Avatar sequels will be successful but they aren't going to touch 2 billion dollars for a single film like the first. Luckily episode 9 comes out in 2019 and it seems like Lucasfilm wants to move the Star Wars movies to May so even when the next trilogy happens there most likely won't be any cross over between Avatar and Star Wars.

I actually like this new info regarding the kids, I had no idea they were going to introduce a family element. Can't wait to see this.

I hope the kids aren't the main focus, I want to see the continuing adventures of Jake and Neytiri.

I did. ;)

Avatar has a job to convince so many people people back but we'll have to see how good the trailer is. If it doesn't have a new tech on the level of 3D then that will be a huge advantage for the first film.

Got to make up for all the Navi killed in the last movie, lol. :p

Gotta find a way to sell more toys and get kids to Avatar Land!

But seriously that's a lot of tail...

Hearing (reading) James Cameron talk about making films is exciting, even if it's the "not sure we need them" Avatar sequels.

Yeah, I'll happily go see anything he makes. :)

It's the cutting edge of the film in terms of relevance that Cameron needs to work on most. We already know he can bring everything else. And he used to be the guy for this sort of stuff. Imagine a film that has the impact of Terminator 1&2 and Aliens with the ground-breaking audiovisual glory of Avatar plus almost a decade of tech advancement and a huge budget.

SNL just did a skit making fun of the papyrus font from Avatar.

Sh** was hilarious.

I like the papyrus font. :p

Such great reactions to a video that only says "The uploader has not made this video available in your country." :o :(

What's funny about it is that it's not making fun of the papyrus font from Avatar, but of those online nerds who lose sleep over such trivial things. It's a perfect encapsulation of the stupid side of the online film community. And I love every single second of it! :woot::woot::woot::woot:

Now I can't not see it.
