from some of the stuff I'm reading in FB, some users pretty much giving up with PD and quitting.

Sure doesn't seem like many did as I'm still getting hit about 10-12 times a day in defensive battles.

I mean it'd be nice to get something else even if it is a worthless item just so I can be sure the mission isn't bugged to only reward the single command point.

I got it on my first try doing the battle.

I got it on like my 4th try when Chapter 3 first came out but haven't been able to get it since. I've been farming for it again since Ms. Marvel will get another alt as the Chapter 4 mastery reward.

Yeah lowest tries for empowered have been around 6 tries, highest was Wolverine's which I believe took around 120.

That said I guess I must just have really weird luck that I keep landing on the exact same reward for Ms. Marvel every single time. At least I'm getting command points.

There's really no need to do that. You can simply remove it from one costume and place it in that one.

I know but it saves time to get one for each and it's just easier to burn off energy right now by farming for them.

I'm new to Avengers Alliance. Don't know if this is allowed to be asked or not, but are there any cheats that don't require a survey? All those damned surveys are useless and after you've spent ages filling them in, it still doesn't allow you to download the file.

How do people earn gold or shield points or command points?

I wouldn't use those cheats since Playdom will eventually find out and cancel your account.

You earn gold from leveling up, 5-star mastering missions in Season 1, and from doing the deals located in the game. Shield points are earned by visiting allies. Command points are received from boss fights, heroic battles in Season 2, and exchanging gold for them (which isn't all that great of a deal.)

I have a different problem now anyway. I'm using it on my android tablet. After completing the Emma Frost special ops mission, the whole app shut down. Now it won't re-open. It just keeps saying "unfortunately, avengers alliance has stopped." I don't know how to re-open it. I've rebooted by device, reinstalled the app but to no avail. I can't seem to play it anymore.

I tried playing it on my PC, but that doesn't seem to have the Spec Ops on it for some reason. Also not as handy playing it on there.

How can I get it to work again on my tablet?

Can't help you there since I play the FB version on my laptop.

The FB version can be accessed on any computer as long you can log-in to FB and it supports Flash.

From my knowledge, you can't transfer accounts from PD or FB to one another.

Glad this PVP Tournament is now over. It, like the last SO, went on forever. I'll finally get Adamantium for the first time ever as I was at a little over 1700 entering the final minute.

Nice. Congrats. I didn't have the energy to try. I finished in Diamond but should eventually get Vibranium if they now take a look at last week's finish like they said they would.

Have a feeling that the next SO will be coming shortly since it's been over a week after the last one and Justin Woods is starting to tweet again about the game. Plus, there's going to be a server maintenance period on Wednesday, which you typically see from PD when something new is about to be released.

I saw that rumor and it was quickly debunked on the forums for the PD-version of the game.

I think the schedule for the next couple months will be:
Feb: SO 16 with Iceman as reward with the Horseman alts being LB reward
March: Chapter 4 with Ms. Marvel's Captain Marvel alts as reward
April: CA-themed SO with Falcon as reward and Bucky/WS as possible LB reward
