I'm at the halfway point, so now I'll start stockpiling.

So do you get a PVP roulette spin each time after winning a certain number of battles? Otherwise how can people be up to 5 covers already if you can only get 5 toolboxes a day plus one roulette spin?

You get five battles a day, which gives you the boxes at one box per battle...then after the five battles you get the roulette.

On the roulette I've already gotten 2 boxes (got this one twice), and 5 boxes through it...and I believe the third is 10 boxes (which I haven't gotten yet).

There was also a task to receive boxes but I don't recall how many boxes were the rewards (5...if I guess), the task was win 5 battles and participate in 20(?) battles IIRC.

I also spent 1-2 gold a day or two ago, just to get an even ten to open on that day.

Well I managed to win those battles fairly easily last night. Now the next morning, only a few hours later, I'm getting practically one shotted again, or at least vastly out powered by my opponents. I don't know if getting Toolboxes for Fixer will be all that easy after all.

just get a good team and weapons and you should do fine, I run into trouble now and then mostly due to some players getting too many extra turns like the tacks agents

Ok thanks. It actually seems to vary. I get a few battles where I get obliterated and others where I seem to do the same to my opponents.

So if I'm just going for Fixer and not Karnak (since I don't think I could get into the Adamantium league), I just need to only fight 5 battles a day? Is there any reason for me to fight more unless I want to get my general level up for my agent?

No, unless the next tasks for lockboxes require extra fights (there will be more each friday I think)

you can fight more but you don't win the boxes, just up you level on the prizes

As zeroapoc said, Adamantium is the top tier of PVP. Make sure you have done over 50 fights and are in the top 0.5% or have a rating of 1550.

...I hate the pairings for matches...one day I'm severely OP, not a terribly bad thing...then the next day I'm severely under powered in matches...how exactly do they pair for matches?

Avengers Alliance ought to have a Black Friday sale where all heroes, weapons etc are half price or more. That way people could mass recruit tomorrow and stock up on things.

also they have a pvp task where you can win 10 lockboxes but you have to win 30 battles, going take me a few days to get that many wins

It doesn't say that. It says win 2 battles in a row, but fight 30 battles. You can do that even with the practice matches. So it shouldn't take several days. You could even get that tonight.

EDIT: I'm already a third of the way there. 20 more battles to go.

I don't like playing too many in the row, getting tired of seeing repeat users I have battle

Only up to 8 now, was working up my points because I lost over 80+ points

Why is he fighting for the heroes anyway? Why do we keep getting villains instead of all these heroes who are still missing from the ranks?

There's alot of reason's
There are people in the fan base that want to play as the villain's and very obsessed with it. which has been the cause trouble in other marvel games from fan base's.
It's not limited with the title "heroes" unlike the marvel heroes title where there has to be the loop hole of anti- heroes and redemption to allow for it. which as I said some parts of the fan base have been causing trouble over that sort of thing in other games made by marvel. example: http://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/comment/1375036#Comment_1375036

and lastly the character models are already done and in game, so this can be done faster and will allow for time to do the other character's they haven't done yet,& to take their time with them idea wise.

I've had the same thing happen...and it's always those ones who can one hit kill ya...

...but I also meant...it doesn't match by stats, heroes, items...etc...it seems kinda unnecessary to do all that if it's just gonna randomly match ya?
