What does moviepass do for box office? Does the viewing count as a full price ticket when they calculate that?

MoviePass acts like a debit card, so the theater gets their money for the full ticket. Basically you check into the movie in the app when you're near the theater, and once signed in they put the exact amount of money on the card your ticket will cost, then you buy it as normal like you were using a debit/credit card.

So yes, it counts as a full ticket price.

Thanks!

Saw it again for the 4th time this weekend (actually watching a bootleg of it now).

Just realized that Thanos whooped on the Hulk without using the Power Stone one time.

Ok, guys...

I followed your advice and travelled to another city to finally see this awesomeness in IMAX 3D.

What a way to finish my viewing streak with an 8th and final viewing in IMAX!

My cinema viewing record for IW matched the one for TLJ - 8 viewings :D

Don't know if I will soon (if ever) reach that number again.

8 viewings :wow:

I saw the original Avengers 5 times in theaters and thought that was impressive, but dang. Props to you.

i've watched the film in theater 2 times, about to be 4 in the next few days. Countless viewings of the leaked CAM version tho. Don't know if i should feel bad lol

Thank you! Props to you, too. "Normal" people usually don't view a film more than 2-3 times at the cinema :D

My friends look at me like crazy when i tell them how many times I've seen IW and TLJ :D

In that case MoviePass changing their terms ahead of Infinity War definitely cost the film money in the U.S..

I'm currently at 7 myself :o

Most MCU movies I see between 3-5 times. TWS, CW, & TA I saw 6-7 each, and IW joins that group LOL! I either saw AoU 5 or 6 times, also.

Nice one dude!

Yeah, I knew you'd enjoy finishing on IMAX if you hadn't already seen it on that format. I've only seen it it 1 time on IMAX and it was definitely the best experience of the lot. I hope to overtake you within about a month. ;)

I plan on seeing it again, but that will most likely be all for me.

3 times, spread out over a couple of months, is enough for me to feel like I got everything I wanted out of the theatrical run.

I now try to stick to just 2 viewings on opening weekend because any more and I can feel myself getting burnt out and restless even if it's a movie I love - guess I'm just not a super patient person lol. I only saw Black Panther twice in theaters and I'm pumped to watch it again tomorrow on blu-ray .

Black Panther got 4 from me, LOL!

It's funny that folks are complaining about the Black Order's power levels without any context whatsoever.

For instance, Black Widow is only able to survive against Corvius Glave because she takes him by surprise and then stabs him with Proxima's blade. Meanwhile, it took Widow, Cap AND Falcon to take on Midnight.

That sounds like a lie good sir.

I love small things that happened earlier in the movie inform larger moments, i.e. Stark needing to spray nanobots to seal the wall of the ships, but then he ends up running out in the middle of them during his one-on-one against Thanos.

Great writing/continuity.

some people are saying that there are different verions of IW out there, some featuring the destruction of Xandar and the invasion of the asgardian ship...

Yes there is a great version in my imagination right now. Features a lot more Hulk and some powered up Black Order members too! ;)

I'd love to see a three hour cut where the opening is fleshed out (Thor vs Black Order, Hulk vs Thanos). Make Thanos use the Power Stone to match Hulk's rage. Also, Thanos and Thor should've had a longer fight at the end. Hopefully Hulk will be redeemed.

Also, I thought the Wasp was in A4, but it's Hope instead?
