From that preview he seems to be taking the opinion of every scientist/corporation/gov. agency in most horror/sci-fi movies where he says, "sure that thing is an unstoppable killing machine that we can't control, but I'm sure this time we can get something useful out of it. Think of the powah! the ultimate powah!" So yes, bad guy.

I wouldn't call him a bad guy. I tried catching up with X-Men as best as I could and Mags was right when he said "you sound like me now Scott." And he kind of, slowly, is turning into him. Minus the whole human genocide part.

Cyke has been Magneto for a while. Kinda why I lost interest in X-men. When Kurt died so did any shred of innocence the X-men had. At least Wolverine is trying to rebuild the dream. Scott can't even imagine it anymore.

Hulk can't be mind controlled. I don't think thor can. The defender can't either but he can control others via mind spit.

Hulk has been mind controlled in the past, as has Thor. Hell, you can't name a superhero who has been around for over 5 years that hasn't.

It does if somebody that didn't know any magic mind whammy or replaced parts of their brain with machines tried to control them and couldn't. I know for a fact Chuck couldn't get control of the Hulk. And Chuck is the Michael Jordan of Telepaths.

Individual X-Men could have problems taking on Hulk and Thor but if there's one thing the X-Men are pros at it's team work. Add that to Cyke's strategic thinking and they can come up with something.

Tempo slows Hulk to a stop and lets Colossus and/or Namor beat the everloving crap out of him. Hulk can be beat down, it's happened, and those two have the power to do it if he's defenseless.

Fantomex misdirects Thor and Hulk's minds (not telepathy mind you) so that they just beat the crap out of each other and removes them from the gameboard.

Dust enters Thor's nostrals and sandstorms his innerds.

Iceman freezes the blood in their veins (extreme but he's showing promise of late, it could be a surprizing feat)

yeah, all the "omega" mutants should make it at least a decent battle...
Magneto, Iceman, Xavier, Hope and now supposedly Storm, Psylocke, and Emma are all quite powerful

I also wonder where the Fantastic Four falls in all this, what with 2 omega children in the family

Thing and Spider-Man are avengers. I don't see them moving to utopia or putting the kids in the jean grey school anytime soon. And I sure as hell don't see them liking the idea of welcoming a cosmic destroyer to earth with open arms.

Reed can be a dumb smart guy but even he isn't all, "hey you know, maybe galactus coming to earth would be a good thing." And galactus can at least be reasoned with.
