Exactly, I stopped reading all comics because of that mess. To be fair it is called Avengers vs. X-Men so those books tying it aren't reaching the way other books have for past events (WWH comes vividly to mind).

Definitely sounds like Iron Fist's power is gonna wind up being connected to the Phoenix Force. Shou-Lou's gonna just be some kind of conduit in K'un L'un to the Phoenix Force. And I'm about 90% certain we're going to see Danny's costume turn red at some point.

I was trying to prepare Iron Fist for the very real chance that Bendis will change Danny's origin to fit with this new Phoenix story...and as this promo shows, it's going to happen. This is all because Bendis cares not for continuity and will rewrite it at any given moment to fit his story.

But it's Marvel's fault that this happens since they allow him to do anything he wants to without argument.

Thats stupid. Only REALLY powerful psionics have been able to contain the Phoenix Force's power. Wasnt Iron Fist a regular human? How the heck did a human get it without it killing him in the process?

Because he punched a dragon in the heart to do it. Punching dragons in the heart overrides the psychic requirement. It's all there in the Phoenix for Dummies handbook.

It doesn't make any sense to change the origin for one, I have no doubt the revelation will be something else that we least expect. I'm willing to bet a past Iron Fist discovered something.
