[BLACKOUT]Captain America pretty much threatened him. Right before the blast, Steve told him, that he wasnt asking about Hope. He was there to take her by force if necesarry and refusing to give her up, was going to lead to a fight. He knew that. Why do you think he came with an entire fleet of Avengers to fight on the X-men home base? He's prepared to destroy their home and there's children there that are most likely going to get hurt in the process. Why is Scott automatically the bad guy? Its not that black and white. Captain America is no one to just come to Utopia and start barking orders, especially since he and the Avengers have little to no experience with the Phoenix Force or Hope. He wasnt trying to work with Scott. He was trying to take control of the issue and leaving Scott and the X-men out of it[/BLACKOUT]
The book was amazing and a great first issue. If I had one issue it was Romita's art as Im not a fan of it, but it was looking really good here.
It was weird seeing Wolverine refer to Jean by her full name. Jean Grey? He knew her more intimately than to refer to her so formally.
I also hated how the writing almost seemed to imply that the last time the Phoenix was around was back in the DPS. Wolverine said the Phoenix killed Scott's girl; that was ages ago in Marvel time. Xorn did it most recently, not the Phoenix. Scott also said the last time they dealt with the Phoenix, they were so young. Really? The last time was in Warsong, maybe 2 years ago Marvel time
and really, how lopsided can things be? Why are they acting like these are the only active X-men? There's Storm (maybe) Magik, Psylocke, Dazzler, Domino, Warpath, Danger, Jeffries, Dr. Nemesis, the New Mutants, Gen Hope and the New X-men, etc.... on the island. The X-men are not quite as outnumbered as the roster lineup would make you believe
