^^^Is Firestar going to bang the winner?

It looks like Walt Simonson is teaming with Bendis for a six part arc starting with Avengers #25. I can't remember the last time I saw Walt's art. This does grab my interest slightly but mediocre writing is still mediocre writing. Perhaps Walt is the new Avengers scribe and he's using this chance to get reacquainted with the Avengers? Most likely a slim chance of that happening but you never know....

I don't read comics as much as I used to be this seems like deja vu form the the casual fan perspective. Feels like more often than not I'm seeing marvel characters fighting each other in some sort of event.

I suppose I'm wrong though.

I liked the first Thor vs. Storm fight when he KO'd her by making out with her. They shouldn't try to transmute gold.

I wonder who Squirrel Girl is going to fight?

It's also Bendis' last arc on Avengers. It's six issues long so that'd make his final issue #30. If this is true of New Avengers as well it'd be #29 there, though I can see an aftermath issue or two to wrap up his run on that book. Avengers Assemble would be around issue 8 or so. He also said that'll role into his next project so I'm expecting that title to be a short run.

Looks like we could get up to ten promo pics given we're getting two a day.

I'm sure there's going to be a Giant-Sized Avengers one shot that will feature numerous artists that will serve as his swan song. This guy ain't going out with a whimper, that's for sure.....

Another match up confirmed is Namor vs Thing.

Interesting match ups so far.
I would not be surprised if none of these match ups actually happen and they just turn out to be promotional posters, i mean Iceman vs Spider-Man come on Bobby's going to walk that. It would be interesting if Psylocke and Black Widow had a fight and to see how Captain Britain would react...

The only reason I can see Iceman not pwning in that fight is that he and Spider-Man are friends and doesn't care to fight.

I hope this isn't a series of one-on-one matches like in Marvel vs. DC. That crossover was cringe worthy with it's dialogue...."I guess we have to fight now...? *sigh*.....OK".

I remember Tim Drake and Jubilee instantly fell in love and Lobo beat Wolverine....yeah, right....Lobo.

There's going to be at least two books. There's the main crossover which will feature the story and then a seperate mini which will feature more in depth one on one battles. I love that idea and think its the best way to go. With so many characters, you cant and shouldnt cram all the action into main book

You find it hard to believe that Lobo would beat Wolverine? He's a class 100 tank whose healing factor probably is more insane than Wolverines.

Correction people... Wolverine beat Lobo in that story. I like Wolverine but it was pretty obserd.

No way should Wolverine have beaten Lobo in that fight, especially bone clawed Wolverine. It was as stupid as Storm beating Wonder Woman in that same issue.

In reality the Thor/Storm fight should be about as similar as the Clor/Goliath fight in Civil War.

Well, I stand corrected. I though for sure Lobo beat Wolverine, that's what I get for not researching this stuff. To be quite honest I'm quite fuzzy on the entire crossover. The entire thing was pretty absurd.

I looked up the rest of the results and Storm beating Wonder Woman was a farce and I'm not to crazy about Batman beating Cap. It was (supposedly) all based on fan voting.

I didn't really enjoy JLA/Avengers either.....

Amalgam was a fun idea for what it was worth.

Alonso joked its going to be her vs Pixie

fixed that for ya

Surprised to see Wolvie fight Cap in Vs.
Thought for sure it would be Cyke v Cap...
Although I guess that'll probably be a pretty major fight in the main story itself
