[B89] The plot holes & flaws.

Also, Joker clearly kills Grissom in the whole "Sugar Bums" shoot out scene, yet we see him alive and bound in the "SmileX" comerical, that always bugged me.

It's not him. :)

sheesh, why is everyone always talking about the flaws of the burton films? cant we just anjoy them for what they are, awsome batman films? i dont really care about little stupid details, as long as the movie kicks ass and they did.

Really? Then how come you nitpick a lot about BB & said it has so many flaws that made it hard to like it, hmm? Kettle meet pot. :oldrazz:

That is a bit hypocritacal i know there are flaws in B89 and acknowledge them but i think BB has more problems and isnt as good just my opinion.

I say - Burton fanboys are getting more and more annoying. "Hey, WTF, just enjow Burton's films for what they are." "Oh f'ing Nolan this, f'ing Nolan that."

I'm not on either side. I like both Nolan's and Burton's take, even though I must say I like Nolan's more. But what the Timmy-boys are doing is a damn crusade against Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Open your eyes. Only three or four of them.

Don't blindly stereotype Burton fans.

Why are you responding to something Nightwing said to Google?

Forget which account you were logged into, Google?

How many Burton fanboys do you see doing that? You could probably count the number on a single hand missing a thumb.

I'm not on either side. I like both Nolan and Burton's take, even though I must say I like Burton's more. But what the Chrissy-boys are doing is a damn crusade against B'89 and BR. Just take the "Nicholson speaks on TDK" thread for example.

See how that works? There are a number of ignorant people on both sides of the fence and it's always been like that. You must take this into account before lumping everyone together in the same ring.

Timmy boys & Chrissy boys? Is that the term now? This is madness I tell you, madness!

Please explain me how many flaws there is in both B89 & BB then. I like to see what you say on that. Beside, I don't watch the movie to see it flaws. I see it for what it is. And I bet if B89 has more flaws then B89, you would still like 'em. Ignore the flaws & look at the film instead. Every movies has it flaws. Nothing is perfect, so it just how it is.

Batman looks like he is slightly suffering from down syndrome in this scene, it's not really a plothole, but it does look like he has down syndrome, or watches mtv.

Its true one quip by nicholson they dont like and all of a sudden Ledger is better actor then him he is a fat, flabby old ****** and is clearly suffering from some form of dementia because he is so old:whatever: its rediculusly junenile from some BB fans one thing i will say for most the few burton fans is though we may not like BB as much as B89/BR we dont get personal.

I think it's time to discuss the negative things about B89. Not the "oh no teh Joker is not teh killer of teh parents" and "Keaton is so short and skinny".

1. A thing I have never really seen is that when the Joker holds his parade in Gotham City. Well, he actually admits his guilt in TV and then there is no police who captures (or, at least, tries) him and his goons? Well

2. Why are there Joker goons in the cathedral? It seems like that the church attendance was more a spontaneous idea. Then why are Joker's men there?
1) Cops could have been paid off to not do anything.
2) The helicopter that tries to pick Joker up after the fight...dropped them there when his men see him go in.

Go to any thread in any forum here....everyone talks about the flaws in everything.
In the final battle scene with Batman & Joker, Batman says "You killed my parents" as Joker replies "I was young when I killed your parents" How would he know he killed his parents in the first place when he doesn't even know Batman really is Bruce Wayne.

The one glaring hole I could never get past. That is all.
He doesn't realy know who Bat's parents were....all he knows is, he has killed a lot of people, most of them in his younger days, and here is a middle aged man saying that he killed his parents....so, he figures he killed them years ago when he was young.
Yes its a fantasy sci fi film plot holes happen ALL the time in them i remember lord of the rings gandalf is trapped by sauramon on his castle and he gets away by flying on an eagle so why didnt gandalf call an eagle to drop himself off at mount doom at the start of the movie? its a plot hole they happen and the more serious a movie the more appaerent they are no matter what you say B89 has its flaws but do they REALLY ruin an enjoyable fantasy film for you or are you one of those silly ultra fanboys ?who critic every small detail in a movie? BB has many plot holes too even though as i said they are more apparent in a more serious movie they dont ruin an otherwise good movie the flaws i dont like are purely in the spoken script, editing and the grounded in realism aspect which doesnt leave room for more comic accurate rogues.
Read the LOTR books and The Hobbit (where the great eagles show up too).....it's hard to get the eagles to interfere with the affairs of men.

Look more like he just relieved himself in his suit & it's warm. :D :yellow:

I really hate how Keaton smile few times for no stupid reason in B89. Especially grinning few times near the end. That just not what Batman should do. He look more happy than a serious Dark Knight IMO. :oldrazz:

Im a big fan of all the books and i cant beleive the combined might of Gandalf, Radagast the brown (who is a great friend of animals) Tom Bombadil and Galadriel and co couldnt persuade a few eagles to fly to mount doom or even close to the mountain.

Thats part of Keatons charisma as the bat he looks and acts like a guy with serious issues far better then Bales croaking then groaning rasp somebody post the picture where he is talking to Gordon about the train he looks like he just got out of a mental home.

See! it goes both ways we can all find things we hate about batfilms bales portrayal wasnt perfect by any means in the Batsuit Keaton had the greatest transformation from the wayne charaacter he WAS batman in the suit bale was good but he used the suit as a tool rather then it being a dark part of him, his voice was gravelly and consistent in with this transformation and the film and he had a presence in his movies other actors lacked he seemed deeper then the one dimensional portrayals by other actors IMO.:oldrazz:

I preferred the occasional sly smile from Batman than lines like "Nice coat".

Batman should not be complimenting homeless people on their clothes :woot:

That scene in Batman Begins and the scene right before that in the car and the scene in the court room and all the scenes in Asia I hate, though every scene onwards from the Homeless scene is pretty damn good.

I was never a Burton this or Nolan that type of person till I came to these boards now I'm totally a Timmy boy(whoever came up with that should be given a medal) maybe its cause I share the same first name or maybe its cause I simply love Batman '89 & Batman Returns to bits, I mean before I came to this forum I actually thought Batman Begins was possibly better than both of Burton's films but now thanks to many great threads, Burtonites vs Nolanites aguments, and nitpicking on all Batman films its made me lean toward the Burton Side and though the majority of Nolanites are damn good people some of them are just massive stuck up a--holes not to say there aren't Burton a--holes but I find Nolanites more annoying since they keep saying we are the annoying ones and deny doing it themselves, you don't see many Burtonites lying and saying we don't nitpick or abuse Nolanites cause baby we do and don't lie about it(or not very often), and this forum has also made me remember why I fell in love (obssessed) with Batman at the age of 4 and that's cause of Burton's films.

I love the scene in BR when Batman gives a chuckle right before strapping a bomb to the fat guy and blowing him to pieces. Vintage Batman:woot:

Micheal Keaton done a great job with the eyes, like the scene were Jack is hanging about to fall into the chemicals, the batman in batman begins talks alittle too much, if that scene was in batman begins, he would probably try say something intelligent.
