If I was to guess (since we know peter's not gonna kill him because of daredevil) I think as the fight goes on and pete is finally kicking the hell out of fisk like he should always be doing he starts taking of the costume to symbolize that it's not spider-man that's kicking his @ss it's peter parker. He leaves the pants on for obvious reasons but the mask and top are the symbols and he felt he needed to lose them just like kingpin felt he needed his normal clothes for the confrontation. A lot of symbolism has been flying around in Amazing recently.

As long as Kingpin doesn't take of HIS shirt, I'm cool with it...a good issue shouldn't be ruined that way.

Seeing Spidey beat Kingpin's ass is a pleasure. It always disgusts me when they show Kingpin beating Spiderman in past issues. I mean Peter goes head on against the Hulk,Venom, Carnage, etc. but yet he has trouble with Fisk? Please. He is no where near Spidey's league.

As there is still one more issue after this one, I honestly thought most of this issue would be the exact opposite, with Kingpin clobbering Peter (due to Peter being weakened by the blood transfusion)...it ain't over 'til it's over, but still; it sure is great seeing Kingpin get slapped around like that.

Wow....looks like all those years of fighting DD has made Kingpin a little soft!

This looks really good. I have to say, Garney's artwork has grown on me a little bit. I guess I'm enjoying this simply because I know the black costume will go back into mothballs forever after this arc, and I'm trying to get my fill out of it.

Also, with "One Last Shot at Spidey's Dignity" coming out, this may be as good as it gets.

Finally got round to reading ASM#541 yesterday, thought it was ok, did not enjoy it as much as the previous issue.

I’m interested to see how things look come the end of the BIB arc. Will May regain consciousness for OMD? And how will the fight pan out between Fisk and PP? .. I don’t read DD, but I’m guessing that Spidey does not beat Kingpin to death, just close to.

Aside from the fight next issue that I imagine will be fun, I have just found this whole arc pretty dumb and nonsensical. Peter would have never given up his secret ID during the registration act conflict, I don’t care what anyone says. Peter would have also not been dumb enough to agree to doing anything to back up Stark, and even if he did, like I say he would have never given up his ID.

So yeah,… I’ve kinda read through BIB just thinking the whole thing is dumb. They really need to get rid of the ID being public knowledge. Right now that’s the biggest problem w/ the status quo.

Ole' Fatso is no longer an exclusive Daredevil villain. He's come back to his roots and now both heroes hate him. So both should come up with a plan to take a crack at him at the same time.

On another note, I wonder if Osborn's watching this on the news and jealous that he didn't inspire the same kind of blind vengeance in Peter that Kingpin did, despite the fact he's done just as bad stuff (perhaps worse) to him.

I think you're going to see a full scale war between Spidey and Daredevil as opposed to a team up.....how do you think Pete's going to feel about Murdoch allowing Aunt May's murderer (assuming she dies) to walk??
