I haven't been reading this thread, so this is an "untainted" opinon of the current ASM arc...
However much I disliked the way we got to this point (i.e. the whole Civil War thing...) I am liking this story. The art is improved and enjoyable, and it has been NICE to see Spidey getting tough! He's been mislead, on the run, his family has been suffering, Aunt May is dying, injustice abounds, Captain America is dead... I can feel the intensity of the stress he is under... and I LOVE that he has put the self-reproach on hold and is going after these perps with a ferosity that Peter isn't often pushed to.
I just hope that they don't completely muck it up in the final chapter... Spider-Man, even weakened, should be able to take the Kingpin, and I hope he has a better plan than to just kill him. He's already in jail... although not powerless... so what is a Spider to do?
I know he is so mad/hurt he "thinks" he can kill, but he's thought that before and when the moment comes he can't go through with it... I hope that line remains uncrossed when all is said and done.
A GOOD ending would be Peter finding a way to totally THRASH the KP, while keeping his integrity intact.
That whole blood transfusion was something I didn't see coming... interesting...
