With all due respect, why waste all of your time playing a role in a movie that your director doesn't own the rights to and you get no payback from it, when you could be trying to get a job on a feature film?

I just saw a video of the same people doing a Catwoman episode or something with Deadshot too.

Yea I know he should be well presented with a good actor...but what big buff guys are out there that can play Bane and are also really well at acting...It would suck if they put someone to play Bane who actually was not even big enough.

Iono, the way I see is that there are few people that can look the part that can also act well. So prove me wrong please and give people's names and pics to see who can pull Bane off.

well . . . Vinnie Jones is playing Juggernaut in X3, and if I'm not mistaken, he's wearing a muscle suit . . .

I've seen how Juggernaut is going to look in X3 and he looks way too small. Unlike Bane Juggernaut is more wide then he is tall. The look for him in X3 is kinda funny cause I am so used to seeing him drawn the other way.

I agree . . . Bane is more just a huge @$$ dude . . . tall and built; the point is that they can get someone who is a good actor, and the buff part can be done in many ways . . .

I would not like to see them do Bane the way they are doing Juggernaut...not some guy in a muscle suit. :down

Not to mention it looks fake in X3.

Ya...when I saw him in the trailer (even though not like it was long) all you really saw was an unclear shot of him and in the closest shot they showed I was wondering about his abs. Makes sense that someone is wearing a muscle suit because those abs looked wierd...like it did not look like skin was on top of them.

They made it look realistic...but I still thought something was going on before hearing about this muscle suit. :)

Same. For me it was the arms, they kinda look plastic and when I saw them, I knew they were too huge to be real because I've seen pics of normal Vinne Jones.

My pb account isn't working right now, I'll post the pic I'm talking about later.

Oh ok. I'm surprised Vinnie did not try to get bigger for the part...even with him wearing the muscle suit from what I saw in the trailers and stuff he does not look that big. :(

Anyway, I want our Bane to really have muslces meaning no body suit. I'm for Batista at the moment. I've said it before but the wrestler who played Bane in B&R was HUGE. He could have done such a good job under the right direction and without green spraypaint on his skin.

**** U SCHUMACHER!

Ya, thanks for the picture man. They did a good job with the muscle suit but I would not like them to do Bane like that.

Im a big fan of both wrestling and bodybuilding.... but even I have to admit that no man from either sport would ever have the acting talent to pull this role off. I dont think that Bane should be played by an oscar winner or anything... it dosent take THAT much talent to do him justice, but the solution to this problem is actually quite simple.

Repeat the X-Men 3 Juggernaut scenario. Take an average-sized, considerably talented actor and put him in a buffed up latex bodysuit that makes him look taller and more broad. It worked with Vinnie Jones in X3, I dont see why it shouldnt work for Bane....

But thats just one mans opinion.

Nathan Jones and Benicio Del Toro as one, Jones doing the physical while Del toro does the voice. it would be perfect h has a mask on at all times any way. If not Nathan Jones for the physical then Dalip Singh or whatever his name is for the physical work.

Yeah, I've seen this guy in different films. He's an absolute beast. He's also in the Tony Jaa movie- I think it's The Protector. Jaa's movies are incredible. There's plenty of buff dudes who could play Bane I suppose. On the first page of the thread when I saw WWE's Great Khali, I thought of Batista for Bane. But I don't have a preference right now. I'm trying to remember if there's a Bat comic that shows Bane's actual face. Can anyone help with that if it's out there?

His face has been several times... including his original appearances back in Knightfall.

Nathan Jones, hands down. He is 6'11" and 360 lbs. Case closed.

Nobody. Bane is supposed to be unrealistically big. Really really big. And try to find a great actor to play the part. Nathan Jones is pretty much a very big guy & an ok actor. And Bane would need a bigger guy and a better actor. I think Bane should look more like this:
huge_muscles_2-782731.jpg
And should be able to act...well.
And Bane is a too popular character to do a cameo part a la Zsasz.

Beyond scary.

Nathan Jones is our man! He was brutal in Jet Li's Fearless.

Isn't bane supposed to be the "man who broke the bat" ?
Does this have to be so literal? "omgz lets just get the biggest muscle man in the world!" lol

We know perfectly well if Nolan was putting BANE in the movie, he would be an above average muscular person with a drug addiction. The venom would likely make him psychotic and numb, making him relatively unstoppable. Think of a more human version of the juggernaut.
