A super steroid is not outside the realm of possibility
Especially not in Nolan's universe of half real world/half sci-fi&fantasy elements!

Not many are as visually arresting or interesting enough to headline the last Batman movie.I'm fine with him just getting totally ripped. And I want to see him punch through solid walls. Otherwise, why get Bane? Bane without superstrength, you might as well get any other villain that has a rep for hunting Batman.
I agree.
It's too bad a big muscle bound villain hasn't been established yet, or even a Killer Croc type. My favorite moment of the BTAS series was when Batman found Croc after Bane kicked the **** out of him and then saw what he did to his car. As a kid being introduced to Bane for the first time, that was such a "wow" moment.
I'm sure Nolan wanted Hardy after his performance in Bronson, who displays all of the qualities in a person like Bane.
I have a theory that I so strongly believe that I will put a spoiler up. I do believe that Bane will be a hybrid but I think there is a name that haven't listed that will be very influence in the story.
With the sleeves/no sleeves discussion, I wanted to see what my previous sketch would look like with and without sleeves.
I think the no-sleeves version definitely says "Bane."
Raybia Year Two was horrible and you should ask for a refund.
Just read through your spoilers, and I think it's a sound idea. I'd be really glad if this happened because making Bane analogous to the character you mentioned adds a certain depth to him that really cements the other themes already present.
But if it were truly up to me (and obviously it isn't), I would've went Henri Ducard as the cinematic, Nolanized, version of the character you mentioned. Henri/Ra's has all those qualities, his story is told in the same "chapter" as Bruce's encounter with Chill etc. But that's just me.
Yeah, Joker is a super villain for sure. There's no disputing that.
Perfect proof that sleeveless works just fine. Nice work, Saint.
Mercenaries (at least in movies, which is what we're dealing with - not real life!) often go sleeveless. And if that jives with Bane's classic look, why wouldn't you go with it?
I would love for Nolan to make him an ex black ops guy ...
And this sort of stuff would already be the case:... a guy that has all the skill and all the training to take on Batman one on one, a guy who does so but is beaten, yet some how manages to escape.
It would be very interesting to see him as more of hunter of Batman then vice versa. Observing, setting things up through his connections trying to learn his weakness / habbits
Along the way doing some pretty maniachal and amazing things himself. I could see Gothams cops being taken down, one man having his jaw shattered by a punch another man having broken ribs and a punctured lung from a swift kick.
Since he's obviously not Latino in this movie, do you think Nolan has created a whole new backstory for Bane?

How is Bane obviously not a latino in this movie?,Maybe Hardy will do an accent and try to look south american?????

There are a lot of whites living in South America especially in Brazil and Argentina so..... no I don't think it would changeSince he's obviously not Latino in this movie, do you think Nolan has created a whole new backstory for Bane?
I might be the millionth person to suggest this, but I'd really like to see Bane presented in the same vein as Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem's character in No Country for Old Men). Bane hasn't struck me as a character that should have the wordy dialogue scenes like the Joker and Batman did in TDK. He seems cool, calm, and calculating. The more I think about it, you could have made Josh Brolin in No Country wear a batsuit, have Bardem gain 100 lbs. and set the movie in Gotham, and you'd have a helluva cat-and-mouse battle of wits between Bane and Batman.
