No. It takes no real courage either way. It's not like it's the difference between trash-talking someone in person physically and to their face. In the end whether someone is banned or non-banned, it's still just non-threatening words on a computer, behind a cloak of anonymity. There is no such thing as "Internet brave."

As for immaturity? Isn't that why these d-bags got banned in the first place? Screw 'em.

Is it any more ridiculous, inappropriate, or unnecessary to talk about banned users in comparison to some of the other topics that are discussed on SHH? I mean, literally everything you can imagine is or has been discussed here, from Miley Cyrus' twerking to Henry Cavill's chest hair.

How could it ever considered a "circus" when people talk about banned users in a thread dedicated to banned users?

Well, yknow if you and others (mostly people who have been banned or people close to being banned) have problems with this thread, just stay out of it. There's a reason I don't visit certain threads in this forum. But I don't go in and complain about them because they're not my cup of tea.

Numerous threads in this section have proven this concept to be physical impossibility for some.

No, not really. It's probably less disruptive than actively arguing with a nuisance poster while they are still active, and no "maturity" is involved in either scenario.

I agree with this. Most people who get banned are unpleasant people who deserve to know that, both while they are members and after they have been banned. There are exceptions, of course, and we mourn the loss of those members just as we pop the proverbial bubbly when a genuine arse is shown the door.

I wonder how long MauriSSio is going to last over in the Avengers news thread. So far he's already had a few posters label him as a troll. As most of us have seen in the past, he might not actually be a troll but once they get called that too many times they get overly defensive and go on a rant. Which is actually what gets them banned in the end and not their original posts. Which is kind of funny to be honest.

Troll is an overused word. Not everyone who has a different opinion and is passionate about that view is troll in the classic sense.
