So there's now, somewhere in Warner's vault, an entire movie with Keaton's Batman appearing several times in costume. If the
Snyder Cut was something, well, the fandom will now definitely fantasize about this one for decades and decades !
My interest lying purely on specific takes on these characters, like what Reeves and Philips are doing, this
Batgirl movie was the only DCEU project I had some interest in, as it felt quite authentic and fresh.
And as the DCEU unsurprisingly continues to dig its grave, I thought this one would eventually have a chance to be slightly altered to look like it was set in the Burtonverse.
But hey, if it's not good, it's not good. But that cancellation still feels like a really weird and
bold move.
In the long run, that sh**show is probably for the best. Let's end this whole thing.
Too bad Keaton's return seems to be somehow cancelled too.
Said this in another thread. Flash might have some other contractual issues that may prevent it from being fired.
But I will say, it is not and will not be a good look to cancel the movie starring a woman of color while moving forward with a movie with an "accused" abuser (putting accused in quotes because of legality).
From a PR perspective, despite what can actually happen due to contacts or whatever, that is a horrible look
Didn't thought about this but, yeah...
PR nightmare incoming. One more !
