Where have you been Havok? :awesome:

I went and bought the first issue to the build of of Arkham City and look forward to getting the rest of it soon. It's been a long time since I bought a brand new comic and it felt nice doing so. God I'm psyched for this game.

Yah, the entire second page of the article are costumes we're already receiving in AC. The entire first page, though, I don't care about seeing any of those as alt costumes.

I love the earth one look, but the color is too light in AC.

I really liked the armor costume from the challenge rooms in AA. I'd like to see that come back.

I love the Predator Challenges, but I just find those particular few requirements to be frustrating. I don't hate the combat challenges, but I will admit that I am not proficient enough with the FreeFlow combat system to get very many medals in them.
What do you think about the suicide collars?

I sucked at FreeFlow too, until I started really working on the Combat Challenges. Got pretty damn good at FreeFlow combat through those. Most of it is really just keeping aware of where enemies were at, so you direct Batman from one to the other.

After reading that interview, it kind of saddens me that every reinterpretation of characters in AC just seems to be darker. Some of it works, and the riddler looks great, but it has also lead to things like bottler-eye and "cage-fighting aggressive Robin". I don't know, I'd be interested if they were to throw in a few silly villains or light ones just for contrast.

One problem for me in AA was IU became a little apathetic to the whole thing as guards just got slaughterd wholesale, I hope this one gives you the opportunity to not just beat the badguys but also save people with atual presence in the game. "Just stay here" became a real killer in that one.

Either way it will still be a terrific game, but I hope it retains more humour and lightheartedness so the darkness isn't just a constant.

I disagree. I really enjoyed Arkham Asylum's darkness, and I think it was for the best that you couldn't save everyone. I really liked how they didn't just use the guards as expendable red shirts to be killed by the villain and then forgotten, we actually got to mourn some of them. It felt realistic and imbued the story with a sense of pathos as well.

Okay. It is taking every ounce of willpower I have to keep my genitals from exploding. Look at the Batman Beyond suit. LOOK AT IT.

PLEASE tell me these will be available in the states.

They will. Either as DLC or in-game.

The more and more i look at it, the more i love that Earth One suit. Im almost at the point that id be willing to pay someone for that suit day one.

I want all of them.

I want to neglect my job, girlfriend, and social life and play through the game with all of them.

I need them all in my life.

You're mistaking my words. I'm not saying I didn't like the darkness, just that there wasn't enough to break it up a little, the best dark stories work by haing lighter moments contrast it. And again, i don't have a problem with being unable to save everyone, but Batman being a superhero I would prefer for him to save most people, or atleast half, whereas as AA had the wonderfully hasty advice of "stay here" in the courtyard, aviary cages section, spot where the fire vehicles were and several others where you would wander back later and find them dead suddenly. It became darkness induced player apathy. I think it just would have bettered if some more people could have been saved while still having many to mourn, rather than mainly the latter.

When it came to rescuing people, I was fine with the way that Arkham Asylum went. Situations like that are just going to happen. It's an all-out riot for control of Arkham Asylum, with so many individual firefights that it is impossible for Batman to save most of the guards. Seeing their bodies lying around added a creepy atmosphere to the game, and it added menace to the villains and a lot of tension to the gameplay.

Man, we can't get the costumes as DLC in Aus either. Just Robin or the Joker funhouse thing.
