I saw a preview of this game and it's kind of weird that this is supposed to be a prequel to the Arkham games but the gadgets Batman is using are even more advanced than the ones he used in Arkham City.

The sad news are that they had plans for a game based on the book but it got cancelled because the studio couldn't get the rights.

I saw a preview of this game and it's kind of weird that this is supposed to be a prequel to the Arkham games but the gadgets Batman is using are even more advanced than the ones he used in Arkham City.

The funny thing is that Arkham Origins technically takes place in the future while AA and AC take place in the past. In the first trailer to AO, we saw a December 2013 calendar yet in Arkham City there is a golden plate that says something among the lines of "Arkham City: Opened in 199?" (the last number is covered in dust).

I personally don't have a problem with it since time in comics is always constantly updating. Plus, the gameplay is always the first most important part about the game. Gameplay shouldn't be sacrificed for the sake of prequel territory IMO. Plus, I find the upgrade in gameplay to be a minor plot hole in the story at best.

It does. Guess I have to get the console version then, unless someone finds a way to MOD it on PC, because the file is hidden somewhere in the code.

I'm sure somehow will get it to the PC version. PC's do everything and more.

Let's hope so. But man, I can't wait to use that outfit. I hope they kept the other ones too, like Batman Beyond. And I would really love if they would add more challenge maps based on comic stories. Like they are doing with the Knightfall Story for Az-Bat.

Well you couldn't play as Joker in 360 it was a exclusive for PS3 it could be like that. I hope it isn't like that for 360 players.

That's so weird haha. It's almost what west probably thought he looked like in his head.

Honestly though part of the charm of the '66 costume is the West physique.

The suit would have gotten a 10/10 from me had they actually used West's built.

As for Batmans gadgets being 'more advanced' the devs have actually addressed this and said in the first two games, it was the situation Batman was in that led him to have access to the tools he did. When you think about it, he relied on tools from an on-site Bat Cave at Arkham and relied on other utensils, partly from Alfred and partly adapted on the fly in Arkham City... They're not necessarily indicative of the HIGHEST of tech Batman actually has at his entire disposal, just what he had handy at the time.

That's very true,In the next Arkham sequel Batman can have the same gadgets from AO But more advanced and the answer has been given to"where were the gadgets in AA&AC?"

I'll have to get PS4 version of the game and hope these costumes are released for it as well. I'd assume it would be.
