Batman: Arkham Origins

First of all, im sorry that i might have hyped you too much.
I assume some of you see that there is a new post here and get excited that maybe a new game is annouced or leaked or so...sorry about that.

But thats what i want to talk about.
GDC is on the 19th i think and the next gameinformer cover isnt far away too.
Which doesnt say much but i sadly have to say that a lot of people have made me hyped and excited thinking that the next game of WBM will be revealed this month.
I cant help it but after all those tiny little teasers of the developers, im getting hyped as hell.

You have a developer wearing a shirt that looks a lot like the court of owls logo, they wore court of owls masks at a halloween party or so, most recently i heard that someone who worked at WBM(game director?)retweeted something with an owl and tagged Capullo and Snyer who worked on court of owls.

The people from WBM said that they wont show anything at the GDC but i cant help but be excited.
Also the "leak" who speaks about the the March reveal of the batman game by gameinformer doesnt help at all.
Cool. I can hope for this game to be a reality, if for just a while. :)

None of which means anything.

Have they even confirmed it’s a “Batman” game, in the sense of the Arkham Games? I know in Origins they kept alluding to Suicide Squad, so what if this is just a SS game, and not another Arkham/Batman game?

WB Montreal have teased a Court of Owls game, which would be a Batman game.

There's so many rumors about rocksteady making a superman or justice league or new arkham game

Oh, I thought the Court of Owls talk was just rumors.

Why do people talk so much about Court of Owls? I never read the arc.

Why is it interesting?

It’s relatively new, and it’s a decent story. It’s interesting in how it encorporates new lore within the mythos, while feeling completely natural in its execution.

It’s pretty good. I do think people talk it up a bit too much, but it’s a good read. Definitely recommend. At the very least, you could just read the outline to get a better understanding.

Court of Owls I guess was one of the more notable newer and modern Batman stories that IMO wasn't a complete disaster. And it also introduced an interesting new villain, or I guess, collective of villains for the Batman rogues gallery.

I mean think about it. Just about all the Batman rogues we know, save for maybe Bane, have been around for decades and over half a century. The Court of Owls is a new villain that was introduced in the last 10 years and sort of made a lasting impact already.

The suit adaption to practical usage is pretty impressive and definitely a unique approach. I see why it got the record.

Okay, i demand that @The Caped Knight gets banned for life because he made me excited for a second, thinking there might be news or so about Origins.XD

No, i saw that a while ago...im always impressed with what those cosplayers do.
Its why i hope one day to be able to go to a comicon or so in America.

Count me in with the 'got way too excited because of the thread bump' brigade.

Lol I apologize for the thread bump, please don't Disowned me.

I just wanted to share an interesting concept that celebrates Batman.

That's great, thanks for sharing!
Had no idea they featured a world record for the Most functioning gadgets on a cos-play suit (although "integrated in the suit"? they play pretty loose with that interpretation.)
They count (23):

1. Fireball Shooter
2. Gauntlet Video Screens x 2
3. Bat Tracking Beacon
4. Bat Sign Projector
5. Folding Batarang
6. Grapnel Gun
7. Cowl Respirator
8. Pneumatic Tranquilliser Gun
9. Ultrasonic Anti Dog Device.
10. Bat Shuriken x 4
11. UV Lamp
12. Ball Bearing Grenades x 2
13. Gauntlet Flashlight
14. Medi-kit.
15. Battery Pack.
16. Laser Designator.
17. Bat-cam.
18. Strobe Stun Gun.
19. Gas Dispenser
20. Smoke Bombs x 2
21. The Bat Flask.
22. Concealed Laryngeal Microphone.
23. Two-way Radio.

Of course these records are featured and made to be broken, so what character can justifiably pull off and break the number of functioning gadgets challenge, and beat his record if possible?

As Iron-Man?
As the Mandalorian?
One of the more tech'd out Spider-Man?(Iron-Spider? Miguel O'Hara? Spider-Monkey?) Not that familiar?
I'm thinking a pulp era Zorro might be stretched featuring functioning archaic version of most of those?
James Bond (how many gadgets did he ever carry at once? How many could you reproduce?
Inspector-Gadget? LOL!
Could any of those characters justifiably feature enough?
Other?

Also to somewhat attempt to stay on topic, all of those gadget wielding characters, could really benefit from an Arkham type world build and platform game.

Honestly I think if there's gonna be a remaster, it won't be announced until E3.

Arkham Origins > Arkham Knight.
Apart from the voice acting (can't beat Conroy and Hamill) and the graphics, Origins pretty much is better. The Deathstroke boss fight was better than every boss fight in Arkham Knight combined. They based too much of the game around the Batmobile.

Yeah I don't think I did either unfortunately. Re-release it for new consoles, damn you :argh:
Sign me up for the people that didn’t play the cold dlc. And yes I don’t understand why we haven’t gotten a remaster yet.

I'd have a pre-order down for an Origins remaster in an instant. The Asylum/City one doesn't really interest me despite enjoying those games. Whenever I get the urge to revisit this series, it's Origins I want to experience again. As I'm not expecting a remaster any time soon, I hope Gotham Knights scratches that itch.
