Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 2

I just hope we don't get big boss fight with Joker in the end. I hope it's Black Mask instead.

It'll be Joker.

I'm guessing Black Mask will be the second or third last boss before him. Bane might be one too.

I don't think it'll be joker. I think we'll be surprised how little he's in it

Something tells me Joker will reveal himself to be the great mastermind once again. It only seems fitting.

However, a little too similar to AC perhaps, so maybe not?

I'm convinced The Joker got a hand in this for sure. Why introduce him if he's not a threat besides the title tagline "Your Enemies will defy you." seems to give my theory more weight, The Joker has had a profound effect on Batman.

Yeah, I agree.

I'm certain he's connected more than we know right now to the Black Mask/Assassins plot

I wish he wouldn't be connected to the plot at all and just be an unknown, chaotic element. Someone who randomly appears and just 'effs up your day more than usual.

Bane is one of the assassins hired to kill Batman. And he's the one who introduces him to Joker in this game.

Now that I would really love. No Black Mask, no Joker, no Bounty. Just Deathstroke who finally wants to settle who's superior.

Well WB Games did mention of MAYBE doing a sequel to Arkham Origins...I wouldn't mind the gamers thinking Joker is the final boss since you get done with Black Mask and all the contracted assassins until Bane and that is who your main boss is where Joker runs off without picking a fight against Batman and that could lead to a sequel...the first Batman vs Joker battle.

Uh-huh, and another game with Joker in the center. I really don't want that. I don't want to get sick of the character.

I don't mind Joker being a boss in the game, or even having a large role in the game. I'd just like it if for a change he was not THE boss.

The smaller his role the better
I'd love to see more villains fleshed out

I watched the 15 min gameplay now and I'm left very unimpressed. The graphics look much worse than AC (yes, much worse). The combat animation was extremely repetitive (he did the same counter attack at least 10 times in one fight against 3-4 guys!). The detective mode thing replaying stuff looked pretty boring and unnecessary too.

However there were a couple of good stuff, such as the free roaming, the winter setting, the robbery stuff. But I'm definitely not very excited for this game anymore.

That would be cool if that happens but it's a wait and see thing. it can go ether way. But if it turns out and it does have joker take over I won't be surprised. but I think WB montreal is aware and might head the other way for a bit and will try to flesh out the other villains. we'll see.

This is pretty much how I feel.

However, I would much rather prefer to see the villain's archenemy overused than him being underused. I can't remember the last time when we had the Green Goblin as THE boss in a Spider-Man game.

I'll have to check the video again to confirm the bold part
I do agree about the Detective Mode in this game being unnecessary

Sadly, I agree on this

Does anybody know at what point in the game the demo takes place? Is it right at the start of the game?

From past experience with demos, they never play the very start of the game

I actually liked. Our attacks being countered is something I asked even before the second game. And the new feature for the detective mode seems pretty cool to me.

I don't disagree about the graphics. I guess that's what happens when you increase the scale of the game, which I was always against. I rather have the most fine graphics than a bigger city, since that is also something that drags me into the game.

I wouldn't mind it if we get a great Batman vs Joker theme going on in the sequel to AO, and I mean something that isn't about causing havoc with mutated giants or trying to find some cure. But a take on an encounter between them that shows us why Joker is such a big deal to Batman.

I think besides the "glossy" nature during the cinematic scene of Batman, Bane and Joker, everything looked pretty good for being from another developer and not Rocksteady. I had a little problem as you did when I ddin't notice Batman leaving any footprints on the snowy streets but we find out that it's all iced up and then we see him leaving footprints when he gets up on the roof. Details like that really help in the overall detail and graphics, imo.

The combat animation was extremely repetitive (he did the same counter attack at least 10 times in one fight against 3-4 guys!).

Well it doesn't help when most demos usually have some of the worst gamers behind the controllers, lol. I remember thinking the same thing about Arkham City demos.

The detective mode thing replaying stuff looked pretty boring and unnecessary too.

That's my favorite part of the demo! Blasphemy! :oldrazz:

I think I'll have fun with the new detective style. It's such a cool idea if you ask me.

The new detective style looks fantastic. It is what I am excited the most about.

The new detective mode is a nice extension of the previous versions, which I'm happy about.
