I'm torn between actually buying this one or just renting it by Gamefly,I bought AA&AC and they were worth it But now I only actually buy very few games per year and once I beat the story yeah there's challenge maps and free-roaming But not sure I will play it that often once GTA V and WWE2K14 are released on PS3 then when I get Battlefield 4 and DC Universe Online for PS4.

Assault on Arkham announced! Animated movie based off Arkhamverse, slated for next year.

They better get Conroy to voice Batman in the movie.

Wasn't expecting a Arkhamverse animated movie. Hopefully they get Dini's help so they don't screw it up.

Dini's working for marvel on all their animated shows and projects now. I saw them say that as much on their marvel SDCC live stream for the past two days and especially after they had spoken to victor Lucas for a bit on their live stream after he moderated the Arkham Origins panel a day after. (which was yesterday) and no they didn't not ask him about that (though he mentioned he's mostly a batman fan boy), it was about what marvel stuff he was into even though he's a batman fiend, which he did answer.

It should up on you tube soon if they have put it up by now. But Dini was also interviewed as of yesterday too. At a separate time which should be up there too.

I really hope they get Kevin Conroy to voice Batman again...

And then, somewhere along the line, it was said, Kevin Conroy might voice Batman in another of these projects. But there was no clue exactly where. Maybe or maybe not the Batman and Son film, maybe or maybe not Assault on Arkham, a spin-off film from the video game series.

I hope this isn't the Arkham project he was referring too however... I suppose not, seeing as he said he was working on it for a good 9 months already.

Paul Dini has no word on these stories, well, outside of the prequel comic he did, but besies that he's more of the "this is X character's motivation" and dialogue.

Yeah i would like Conroy just being the Arkhamverse guy, even tho Roger is superior voice actor. ;)

Wow, really? If it's in the style of the trailer cinematics, it'd be something special.

The Arkhamverse has established itself as one of the Batman brands.

Haha, the trailers cost more/the same as the 60 minute animation movies, you won't see CGI like that in years.

Yeah, it's great how much Arkhamverse is becoming a brand, the digital comic is a top seller as is Injustice. Could you imagen a Injustice movie?

Hmmm. I hope this movie is set some time after Arkham City, possibly serving as a lead in to a next-gen game. Glad it's happening in any case!

Well its reported the animation will tell stories of AA and AC.

He might be able to utilize more voices... but I definitely wouldn't say he's the better actor.
Lol, you really are trying to say that an actor who has to do the same role for +20 years is somehow more talented than an actor who has far wider range in the career? Get out of here. :cwink:

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying...

Just because Smith can manipulate his voice more than Conroy does NOT make him a better actor.

Trying to dimish Conroy's acheivements to ''can only do one role'' (Despite the fact he's been on stage many times over the years.) is not going to change that.

Care to explain why he's only getting roles for just Batman or a spoof of himself then? He might be doing the same voice over and over again, but him being older than Smith doesn't mean he is a better actor. I'd be like saying Peter Weller and Conroy are voice acting gods, thats not the case, people like Blum, Strong and Delisle are definitely.

I never mentioned age...

Typecasting? He's done other roles in animation and done them very well. There's a character actor inside Conroy... it's just a shame he never gets to use the muscle very much.

Just listen to him as the Fisherman in this Jaz and Daxter game:

Perhaps he feels Batman is his obvious pinnicle in animation and does the gig out of love for the character and money (between his on stage gigs).

It's my opinion, but:

Roger Craig Smith is the better voice actor
Kevin Conroy is the better (julliard trained) actor who has pulled off some amazing performaces in animation, Batman or not.

I'm sure the game will be awesome as AA&AC or even better But decided to just rent this and eventually buy it if they do a GOTY Edition like AC where it had all DLC included

Well this will be day one pick up for me. Im not expect this to be great but good enough.
