Iron Man
Spider-Man 2
Batman Begins

I liked them all immensely though.

1.BB
2.IM
3.SM

I really liked Batman and Iron Man, I thought they were both very good movies. I thought SM1 and SM2 were good, but Raimi did not do the character of Spider-man justice, and even Peter Parker to an extent. He just didn't understand the character well enough, and that really annoyed me. BB got Batman's characterization down very well, and while I can't say much for Iron Man because I don't read much of his comics, I loved RDJ's characterization of Stark.

Iron Man, followed by Batman Begins and Spider-Man 2

As far as Best Marvel film? I have to re-watch Spider-Man 1 and 2 because Iron Man just surprised me so much I'm not sure just yet if I can say it is the best Marvel film (but it may be).

But overall? I knew right away that while Iron Man was possibly the best Marvel? Doesn't top Batman begins for me. Same for any of the first two Spider-Man films.

1. Batman Begins: have depth, great characters, casting, good direction and understood the essence of batman

2. Iron Man: it had some great characters, enjoyable to watch, but it didnt have a lot of depth or great story telling

3. Spider-Man: great depth, great characters, TOO long! and not enjoyable to watch

Batman Begins steals first place for me.
Exactly! BB will win it here every time just cuase of the forum its in. Bat fans just love to hear how great there bat-god is, no matter how many times it has gone up in a poll against a marvel hero. :whatever:

Spider-Man
Iron Man
Batman Begins

The first Spidey satisfied me in every way; the action was solid throughout (a little bloody towards the end), the romance felt logical, and the humor had a snarky wit to it. I'd rather the sequel was as good; I'm not a fan of the second Spidey movie. Iron Man was very good, but I felt like Stane left something to be desired. Batman Begins was good, but it wasn't comparable to the enjoyment I felt watching the other two.

I have to give it to Batman Begins. I'm too much of a Batman fan to give to Spider-Man or Iron Man.

:o

Batman Begins is head and shoulders above every other superhero movie.

After that I'd probably say Spider-Man 2, then Iron Man.

:im:Iron Man was what I expected it to be; a good movie and a great comic movie (which I like better than regular movies anyways). I need to see it more times before I call it my favourite, out of the three. But it may be closer to win my affections than I may even realize.

:spidey:Poor Spider-man never had a chance; I saw it so many times that it turned into a brother. I love the movie and can't see life without it, at the same time I know all it's annoying weaknesses and flaws. I don't consider it my favourite idol, but I still love it.

:batman:I vote BB, because it surprised me with the Ra's Al Ghul turning out to be Neeson, heck the whole movie surprised me and turned into something wonderful. It's a journey that has me on the edge of my seat, waiting for the Dark Knight. It was a great movie and comic movie. I just need to be careful lest it becomes a Spider-man.

From the list:

1.Batman Begins
2.Iron Man
3.Spider-Man 2

My personal favorite superhero films:
1. Spider-man 1 ...reminds me of the good ol days :)
2. Hulk ...I know people didn't like it but I disagree with the general public.
3. Batman Begins- I love the film, what can I say.
4. Iron Man- Its a really fun film, surprised me.
5. Spider-man 2 - loads of fun not as fun as the first imo
6. X-men - Cool scifi film.
7. X-men 2 - I think X1 and X2 are really close but I give X1 a higher rating since its darker and edgier...plus, it ages better than X2 for some reason.
8. Superman 2- fun!
9. Batman returns - a cool interpretation of the batman universe. I  catwoman
10. Hellboy - another surprise, I thought it would suck.

Nothing else is worthy enough to make it on my list.
so obviously the winner is SPIDER-MAN!!!! woot! :spidey:

1. Begins.
2. Ironman

I dont include Spidey because repeat viewings have destroyed the franchise for lil' ol' me. Too many stupid flaws and stupid missed oportunities.

1) spiderman 2
'THE' best superhero fight commited to film. also pete stuggle out of custome was fascinating. the weight of the world on the shoulders of a hero.

2) iron man
just a cool cool movie

3) batman begins
fantastic origin story, absolutely HATED the end of this movie with a passion. bats sidekick (commish) takes out the main threat (the train). wtf? seriously WTF?!!!

What was so bad about the ending? Iron Man had Pepper killing Stane, yet I see no complaints there.

hated the end of iron man as well :o

another reason why I think SM3 is the best superhero is because they spend the entire movie establishing the bad guy you know his history, his motivation and his relationship with the hero so when they battle at the end the fight has extra weight because you know what drives them both.

begins comes close with the developement of RAG but imho didn't spend enough time exploring the motivation of RAG and even though you see the development and movtivation of stane the end fight is spoiled by the sidekick (potts) taking out the bad guy.

what makes a good superhero movie?
1) the hero developes a character
2) strong supporting cast
3) strong villian who has a motivation and some depth, this is enhanced if there is a relationship to the hero. this relationship shouldn't be forced or tacked on like sam making the sandman kill uncle ben.
4) good action, but this action shouldn't be meaningless. ask yourself WHY is this fight happening, the better the reason the more weight will be added to the drama.
5) good effects. if you don't believe the effects its very hard to suspend belief in whatch your are watch.

the best superhero movie tick all or most of the above.
good example superman 2, the fight in the city is fantastic because of the threat the villains posed to the world, this fight is enhanced because leading up to it the hero has lost his powers and the bang he appears 'genrral do you care to step outside' SWEET!!!
also the hero grows because he realizes what the world will lose if he gives up his pwers for the woman he loves.

superman returns is a bad example because even though he ticks a lot of the above boxes the movie (imho) is anti climatic because ultimately his biggest threat is a rock.

so taking the above list into concideration if someone wanted to argue the toss over SM2 and BB I think those two movies are the best of the genre because they tick so many of the boxes.

Transformers.

Nah, Batman Begins had more depth but I do Like transformers better than Iron man and Spider man especially spider man which was lackluster cause I prefer Mcfarlane's interpretation not Stan lee's which they used for the movies.

Transformers was great but the biggest problem I had was Optimus vs Megatron. Optimus got his ass kicked, but as I remember Megatron always used to retreat. Optimus didn't even scratch Megatron ONCE, Prime just got tossed around like crap and then the humans had to help him win. That was stupid.

I surely hope TDK doesn't suck because all of you BB fans will finally fall back and quit talking about how greak BB is. I loved the movie too and Batman for that matter but you CAN NOT compare Marvel Movies to DC Movies. Too different realms if we would it would be a combination of Superman/Batman movies vs. Blade Trilogy, X-Men Trilogy, Spider-Man Trilogy, DareDevil, Hulk, Iron Man, etc etc.

I hate threads like this so unrealistic if you liked the movie great if not **** whether its DC or Marvel doesn't matter. Some nerd will reply with "Well if you don't like threads like this why reply" My response is naturally I'm at work and I'm bored and this kills time.

Everyone will have their iconic hero who they love (some even WORSHIP..many batfans) mines being Spider-Man however if the movie sucked or it was great I can state that without ultimately saying hey Spiderman 4 was great it had everything I wanted thusly making it better than Batman Begins & Iron Man....SMH

This sin't about DC or Marvel or which Icon's the best. It's simply which movies were the best. What movie tickled your fancy better than the other one.

I know that and I subliminally stated that...Thusly threads like this are ongoing contradictions. Because many Batman fans will vote for BB even if the other two were better (read the replies). Same goes with Spider-Man & Iron Man fans.
