IMO 2 best origin CBM.

Which one do you think is better and why ?

BB. I think FC has more forced transitions and character moments. Some work, while some don't to me. It also has the misfortune of being a prequel to other movies with arguably more compelling versions of those characters to me. With the exception of Raven. Who I still think suffers, mostly in clunky execution to me.

Batman Begins
I predict this will go the same way as the BB vs Homecoming thread :D
Unavoidable. That movie and its first sequel are just so good, and so easily pleasant to watch.

I think first class is better. Batman begins is a fine film for sure, but first class ain't homecoming, it actually has weight to it. Magneto and Sebastian Shaw were way better villains than Ras al ghul or scarecrow. I'd even argue First Class has more political and social themes with 60s cold war setting. Batman begins was a good character study for bruce/Wayne, but the action was badly edited, Katie Holmes was a bore, and they didn't handle scarecrow as well as I liked(he is my favorite batman villain).

Love X-Men: First Class. It ain't no Batman Begins, though.

XFC is enjoyable enough. BB is fantastic. BB wins.

X-Men : First Class is my favourite X-Men film but it's no Batman Begins. BB for the win.

Love 'em both. But Batman Begins is Batman Begins.

My favorite Batman movie vs one of the many Fox X-men movies which are "meh" to me.

Pretty easy.

Batman Begins by far, wise and sensible for the restart to actually and clearly be a restart. FC was more like if the BB story had been as different as it was but had still used the B89 suit and Batmobile, just similar enough to the predecessor to be disappointingly confusing.

BB finally and strongly told the origin story, FC the characters & relationships (though I did like Mystique and somewhat Hank) and powers/action were all pretty disappointing, with Shaw and Emma Frost particularly disappointing, Banshee's powers were the only ones that felt fresh.

X-Men: First Class is probably the only movie that comes so close to the quality of Batman Begins in terms of best superhero origin story. Both high quality films, amongst the very best of the genre. Still no cigar for X-Men though.

Batman Begins was the perfect reboot of Batman.

A good battle but I'm leaning towards Begins, which is clearly the best Batman film ever imo.

I don't think I'd put either as the best origin film though.

Maybe best Batman-focused film.

Best Batman-portrayed more like it.

I still think Batman's role in TDK is criminally underrated. He shone in TDKR, though, just not as Batman but as Bruce Wayne.

Spider Man maybe ?

PS: What happened to your old acc ?

I'd probably have to rewatch some of them to really be able to pick one, but luckily it wasn't necessary for the actual poll.

When they changed the forum software the forum confused my account and another (Mjölnir and Mjolnir) because it can't handle the letter 'ö' in user names so my account ended up being deleted and all my old posts are left saying the user is a guest. A bit annoying that the other account is an abandoned one with only 2 posts, but not much to do but to go forward.

Sorry, I didn't quite get what you meant in the first line. Could you explain a bit more please? Cheers.

First Class is my favorite X-Men film, but it is still definitely Batman Begins. I'm sorry, but this is easy.

First Class is fun, but Batman Begins is a masterpiece.

Begins is good, but not Raimi-man good.
First Class is on the lower end of Vaughn movies.
Game, set, match: Bale doing an impersonation of Alec Baldwin whilst mowing down cop cars in a tank
