But Clooney could never be Batman again, because he played a doctor on ER! A DOCTOR! Bruce Wayne isn't a doctor, and the audience KNOWS that. It just wouldn't work. :o

Who the hell remembers that movie outside of comic book fans? Now ask anyone outside of this community who played Batman in the past? A heck of a lot more ppl will remember Clooney, Kilmer etc because it's Batman. The majority remember everyone who played him, and nobody has fond memories of Clooney in the role except you and a handful of other comic book geeks on this site. West, Keaton and Bale are the only names that matter to the general audience and that's why Clooney would never be asked to return. I honestly don't know what world you live in, but it's certainly not the real one.

hahaha! they play it on tv all the time. I think if you went out and asked people. "You" might be surprised.

How is Clooney rated among Batman fans? I recall at the time people slated him, but after 20 years, have they changed their mind?

I had him tied with Affleck until I saw those South PArk-like pics posted on here. hahaha! Jeez.

Tommy Wiseau for Batman, Greg Sestero for Nightwing, and Philip Haldiman for Robin...

Looks like we've found our Thomas Wayne! :funny:

This thread has become the ultimate joke.

so will Reeve still wanna use Deathstroke? did Affleck ever say why he wanted Deathstroke as the primary villain? I figure simply he wanted a villain that average audience wasn't familiar with.

Reeve’s starting from scratch. Threw out the Affleck script.

X-Men Origins made $373 million. B&R made $238 million.

I imagine quite a few more people would remember the former than the latter.

Based on inflation from 1997 to 2009 I wouldn't be too surprised if B&R actually sold more movie tickets?

Batman & Robin rules, you're all high.

Hell, I'd watch Forever or B&R over Rises anyday. :yay:

Plus, Smashing Pumpkins in the credits. Nolan's flicks never had that. :)

I think they just prefer pretentious and boring awfulness over fun and entertaining silliness. lol.

Clooney would be amazing, as he gets older, he looks more and more like Bruce. I'd be so down for him to return.

And I still love Batman and Robin. I love all the Batman movies.

Looks like we got more fans of Batman & Robin...

Count me in as another guy that ranks BF and B&R over TDKR. They are technically inferior movies but they're so much more watchable and enjoyable to me. TDKR is good, personally I think it's just a chore to sit through.

Dick Grayson>Robin John Blake

TDKR is just polished and ambitious with a great cast but its easily the inferior flick. It has no soul. Its like they didn't even care to make a good Batman movie.

It has no soul? Then why am I more emotionally invested in that movie than the previous two? Also, I don't care about "good batman movies", I simply want a good movie. TDKR is that for me. To me it IS a good batman movie though. What Bruce and Batman go through, the ending is earned, I couldn't ask for a better batman story/conclusion.

You don't have to ask for a better conclusion. The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond are readily available.

Nothing will beat the final scene of TDKR for me. Nothing. And Beyond is not a conclusion. Returns also doesn't feature a Bruce Wayne who has earned anything other than a slap in the face for walking out on Gotham (for 10 years) while the city is a pit of trash and crime. So nah, I'll take my live action Nolan trilogy and his Rises ending which ALWAYS chokes me up. I can care less about plot, I care about character development, and visual storytelling that makes me feel something. I watching Forever the other day and besides Carrey being hilarious in some scenes, I couldn't sit through more than 10 minutes. The Shumacher movies are complete trash.
