Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 3

Grayson fans are usually let down. Remember their last show?

I was never wild about the idea of an older Batman, but after seeing DP2, I think it’s a real shame we’ll never see Josh Brolin wear the cape and cowl. He could’ve given Bale and Keaton a run for their money.

Eh, it might have worked but Brolin is so perfect as Cable that I’d hate to think of him being cast in another role that might have deprived us of that. I mean, it’s possible he could have done both but since he’s also Thanos, I doubt the guy would have had time to fit 3 massive CBM characters into his schedule.

Take for what it's worth.

Hope we hear something on if Affleck is staying or out in July for SDCC.

Maybe Batffleck will compare tattoos with Leto Joker.

If that rumor about Buttflick having money problems is true, then I could see him staying on as Batman for the paycheck.

Just the type of drive we need for our Bruce Wayne in the long run.

Daniel said hamada wants Ben, Reeves not sure

anyone know if it's not sure I haven't heard, or Reeves is reserved about Ben?

Crook: Don’t kill me, man! Don’t kill me!

Batman: pffft. I’m not gonna kill you. Just like, do me a favor. Just like, tell all of your friends about me. Yeah.

Crook: WHAT ARE YOU?!!!

Batman: I’m... here for the paycheck.

You all do realize this was always about the money for him, correct? He wanted to make his Live By Night movie, which ended up flopping.

Ugh I like Ben as Batman in general but if the whole money troubles thing is true I'd rather him not come back. You know how many actors would KILL to play Batman and give their heart and soul into it? 1000s. If he just views this role as a paycheck gig that kind of rubs me the wrong way.

At the same time, as long as he's good in the role, who cares I guess? Mixed feelings.

It makes sense Walter Hamada would want to keep him around for simplicities sake and to avoid bad PR of him officially leaving. DC doesn't need that kind of press right now.

Obviously money always plays into whether they take on these big franchise roles. But there's a difference between being passionate about something while still negotiating a good deal for yourself, and phoning in a role because you just want the paycheck. The latter is TOTALLY what we got from him in Justice League. I feel like he was at least trying in BvS, he just was out of his depth. Oddly enough, I liked him better when he looked like he didn't give a crap about what was going on. I'm not sure why. Maybe I just couldn't buy him trying to be all intense, but I could buy him as a guy who couldn't care less about anything, lol.

He was awesome in BvS, but god did he suck in Justice League. He can stay on but only if he actually tries..

I wonder if his sleep walking performance through JL was due to the bad reception of BvS or because of the constant behind the scenes drama leading up to JL filming and through production with constant rewrites and what not.

Where are the rumors coming from about him having money troubles?
Didn’t he just buy a ****ing mansion? :funny:
Sounds like he’s doing fine.

Yeah, I dunno? I think people are just being a bit catty. :hehe:
