Most of the names suggested here are too old are not talented enough IMO. Armie Hammer being the latter. Sorry Hammer fans lol. Still not the biggest fan, and I’ve given him chances this past year or two, and his performances always leave me underwhelmed. From Call Me By Your Name to Sorry to Bother You. Always stiff or not believable enough. He’d work better as Hal Jordan in a supporting role because that role is simply not important.

Pattinson, now there’s a guy who changed my perception of him. Good Time did that. I’m down for that but I have a feeling they’ll be going with an unknown. Pattinson will be in two movies this year that are near the top of my most anticipated list for 2019. High Life (sci-fi Claire Denis Film) and Lighthouse (Robert Eggers who directed The Witch, with his black and white horror follow-up that also stars Willem DaFoe).

This dude could also play a villain. But these movies show his increasing interest in dark stories. I’m sure he’ll take it if Reeves asked. I feel like he’s currently where Bale was in the early 2000’s.

I thought they were looking for a well known young actor. Pattinson is just a little over 30. Depending how young they are looking, I guess.

Never in a million years would I think people would accept him as Bruce. How time changes everything.

Pattinson doesn't seem to be the type interested in franchises. It took him and Kristen Stewart years to get rid of the Twilight stench and establish themselves as some of the best actors of their generation. He definitely won't be signing 10 years of his career away to play Batman, lol

Saying an actor that was tired of in a crappy teen drama movies would not want to be in a Matt Reeves Batman film is like saying that because a lawyer got tired of working at a middle school he wouldn't accept an offer at a prestiguous law firm. If anything, itd be the best thing to happen to him

I could get behind Pattinson as the new Bruce. He has come a long way from Cedric Diggory. I know he is mostly known for Twilight but I never saw those, so to me he is Cedric.

Batman has had a slimmer, more athletic build before.

I prefer that actually.

I can acknowledge Pattinson's talent (he's fantastic in Good Time) and I'm a fan of his recent career choices, but it's gonna be a big ask for me to see him as Bats. And it's nothing to do with his Twilight relation.

I'd much rather see him in a villainous role, as someone like Joker for example.

Not that I'm on the Pattison bandwagon...he can always put on muscle.
