Jack O’Connel is so small.

At 5'8" he is not tall at all. If they make another Justice League, Batman would look shorter than Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman. (Assuming that next Superman would be the shortest, shorter than 5'8")

I'm going to guess the "out of left field" name is Jon Hamm. People have been fan casting him in DC movies for years... also remember there was some rumor a few months ago that he was campaigning hard to replace Ben Affleck as Batman for Matt Reeves? Maybe there was some truth to that after all?

Another one that is a popular fanciest for DC roles is John Krasinski... he's currently on a hot streak with A Quiet Place, so maybe Matt is talking with him?

I'm also going to venture a guess that the younger guy Centenino isn't up for Bruce but probably for a different role...

My theory is that this movie might revolve around the murder of Dick Grayson's parents, Matt mentioned Dark Victory is one of his favorite Batman stories and you could have a really emotional story centered around that.

Alright, Centineo isn’t a horrible actor based on what I’ve seen, but he’s just so wrong for Batman, it’s laughable. He could be a decent Dick Grayson though.

I think Mark Wahlberg would be great in a Batman movie. Maybe Killer Zsaz?? Not as a major role but more of a prominent side villain. It would be interesting though to see a fitter more athletic version of a classic batman villain who poses more of a physical threat to Batman. I think someone like Wahlberg would be a solid out from left field casting choice. I think he would be awesome as Harvey Dent or the Ventriloquist

According to El Fanboy, two names currently circulating around casting agencies: Jack O'Connell and Noah Centineo (who?).

This to me sounds like it is very early in casting and so every young actor is vying and auditioning and/or WB don't know what the **** they're doing.

I think the next set of films that are made should have actors who could be real physical challenges to Batman. Besides Bane and Mr Freeze, other characters like two face, joker would be awesome to make more of a physical threat to batman. TAS and the games show this often especially for Dent and I think Wahlberg or Gibson would be awesome for the role!
