Is that Aidan Turner? If so, then I think I've solidified my idea of Batman. He has a good look for it to me.

Now for Superman... Jamie Dornan?

^ Someone made this terrible manip of him as Wolverine, but it at least gives us some idea as to what his face might look like behind the cowl. I think it'd look good on him.

Like I said, I'd prefer him for Bond but he looks just like a perfect Bruce there.

He may have aged out of the role, though. Are they still looking for an actor in the 25-35 range?

Just turned 35 in June, so a little less than a year before he could be "aged out" :P

Whoa, I thought he was pushing 40. Well then, he's an even better choice than I thought.

But has he ever done an American accent?

Yeah, I was curious about that myself given his Irish roots. With a good dialect coach, however, I'm sure he could pull off a decent American accent (British and Irish actors aren't generally known to falter in that area).

Also, in light of his age, I think he just about ticks all the boxes for the role.

- He's got the dark good looks and charming demeanor a Bruce Wayne should generally have.
- Google tells me he's 6'0" tall and physically fit.
- From what little I can recall of his performance in The Hobbit trilogy, his acting chops appear to be better than average.
- His skull morphology would likely conform well to the cowl.
- He's got a good "scowl face" without coming across evil.
- At age 35, he's still young enough to play a Batman at the top of his game.
- As someone who isn't exactly a known quantity, he'd come without the kind of baggage that often turns a lot of people off from more popular actors.
- He's got a really strong voice. [added retroactively]

Turner is a very young-looking 35.

In addition to The Hobbit, he was also one of the leads in the UK version of Being Human. He's a good actor.

I just watched a clip from Poldark, a TV show he's known for. The guy's got a strong voice on him as well, something that can't be said for every hopeful. lol

I'd be down for him.

I don't know if he's ever done an American accent, so that's really the only thing I couldn't speak for. I know his British accent on Poldark is a bit hit-or-miss, and he even admitted so himself.

Robles is saying that Centineo guy was recently called in for a costume fitting. No way it's for the titular role. (Whelp, it better not be!)

Ohh dayum, just when I thought the fan4stic dude found Ben's one & only younger doppleganger...another one pops up.

Ben is definitely getting into shape...just saw some new pics of him from today and he’s freaking huge

You gotta hook us up, brah.

Who the heck is that?
A short while back, Robles mentioned that Noah Centineo was being considered for an unspecified role in the movie. The same guy recently took to Instagram to announce that he'd been called in for a costume fitting. I'm not at all familiar with his repertoire, but he's way too boyish looking for Bruce/Batman; so I'm guessing (ahem... hoping) that he's being looked at for something else.

I used exercising as a means of helping me to quit smoking. You replace one "activity" with another. And whenever you have cravings or impulses, you channel them towards that new activity. It's like rewiring your brain.

Maybe this is purely a lifestyle change for Ben and isn't indicative of anything. Maybe it's for an upcoming role that has nothing to do with Batman. Or maybe Reeves won him over and he's willing to stick his neck out for the role again.

Impossible to say, and premature to speculate. Especially when The Batman isn't poised to start shooting for another 6+ months. Having said that, dude is jacked. Happy to see him looking healthier. I genuinely hope it sticks.

I’d rather have Ben back than Cavill

Ben was great in BvS and bad in JL. Cavill was just ok the whole time
