Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

Honestly don't mind a younger, more unknown actor. Alden Ehrenreich is probably available now.

As long as they're at least 30 I'll be satisfied.

Rumors of Reeves wanting a 25 year old make me nervous.

Ben did confirm that he’s out.

Just bring Bale back, please.
Just flippin reboot the whole universe at this point. This is like Chris Evans getting recast as Cap after the first Avengers movie.

Batman started at 25 in the books. What's the problem?
My only real issue with it is I have no ****ing clue what talented actors are out there that fall in that age bracket. :funny:

However, some of the guys in their early 30's could easily pass for late 20's (Christopher Abbott, Tom Bateman, Richard Madden). Except for Armie Hammer. That dude actually looks older than he really is.

Well, is he envisioning the actor being 25 or the character being 25?

Because if it's the latter, I imagine you could still cast around 28-30 and be able to sell it.

The way the trades worded it, Reeves wants someone younger and the studio wants someone older.

I hope older. I turn 30 in April, and I refuse to have a Batman younger than me.

That's a hard and fast rule, goddammit.

(Seriously though, I prefer a veteran Batman who's experienced and built up his rogues etc).

You know what, I'm gonna throw a random one in here. Josh Hartnett. I remember WAAAAY back when he was the top pick for Superman and he turned it down. I thought he was pretty great in Penny Dreadful. He's only 40. I think he'd be alright.

*reads "Oscar Isaac" and "Batman" in the same sentence*

Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, **** on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it

Still think Robert Pattinson would be a good younger Batman.

Fight me.

We ain't getting a 5'7 Batman. It won't happen.

He’d be good, but if Leto’s out too I’m championing him for Joker (I like him more in his Rover/Good Time modes.)
