I'm rather worried not exactly for Reeves' choice, it can be really something different and perhaps for better, if execution is great. But because of online reaction. Sure, there's a high possibility of a misfire, something nobody wants after the last 6 years. I hope Reeves won't be bullied out of his decision.

he must really want a batman in the first few years of his career huh. If he's sticking around for the long haul to tell Batman stories that span over many years, then I support it.

I wouldn't mind ATJ in all honesty.

Bear in mind that Reeves is looking at a specific age range of actors. The more names you add to a list like that, the more bizarre it is likely to seem at first glance.

Consider though that Reeves is probably going to go for someone like Jack O'Connell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson or Nicholas Hoult, and suddenly it all makes a bit more sense.

Saying that this might be the worst choice in terms of an actor calling for the role.

Actors who were suggested for Spider-Man are now being considered for Batman ? I remember people wanting Dylan O’Brien and Logan Lerman for MCU's Spider-Man, before Tom Holland was cast.

Besides, what's up with baby-faced pretty boys suggestions ? for example - Alden Ehrenreich and Ansel Elgort.

I'm not gonna judge anymore, all of those guys are young, but they are solid actors in their own right.

You only worry when they start considering pretty faces who can't act, and even then they could've nailed the audition and just be lightning in a bottle, we'll never know until the movie actually comes. I'm ready to be open minded about this.

Hoult, O'Connell work for me, personally. ATJ maybe too. I don't like the rest. But I'll try to be optimistic and trust Reeves' judgement. He spent more than a year writing the script, he probably thought it through.

I was reading it like....

"Fit the bill" is a very vague term and one that comes with all sorts of biases. The trick here is to look at that list, what we know of Reeves' previous casting choices in other films and what we know about the rumors for The Batman and ignore our own personal biases and instead try to discern what Reeves is looking for in his Batman.

Because someone like ATJ, Hoult or O'Connell seems very likely for the part, I think. Reeves almost certainly won't go for a young Affleck type, if that's what you're expecting.
