He's probably the choice that's most accurate looks wise! He's tall, dark, square jaw. Just very, very young.

All I see in that picture is Peter Parker.

I'm honestly surprised that Andrew Garfield hasn't come up yet, not because I want him but because he's similar to other names being fancasted and tossed around.

Breaking News: Andrew Garfield cast as the new Batman!

Should be a rule, if you were a contender for teenage Peter Parker within the last 3-5 years, you should not be up for Batman.

Aaron Taylor Johnson I can kind of see working. Idk if his acting abilities are really up to snuff though. He was good in Nocturnal Animals but everything I’ve had to see him play “leading man/action hero” in he was just bland.

His hilarious chest hair aside, put another 20-30 lbs of muscle on him, give him a shorter slicked-back hairstyle, and I can see it.

I'm all for a younger looking Bruce Wayne, though I can't say I have a horse in the race at this point. I'm guessing we're looking at 25-28, just after his appearance as Batman, moving toward the "Robin" era. I'd like to see the "immaturity" of Batman explored a bit more, in terms of the psychology behind the character. We've seen the older and veteran Batman. Time for something new. Even Bale's Wayne was 29/30 when he began operating as Batman.

If Reeves is going for such a young and possibly emotionally immature Bruce in a story that will feature him going through a transformation, I can see this starting out as a revenge story that goes bad. Like an expansion of what happens in Bruce's head before he decides to get a gun to kill Joe in Begins. And maybe when Joe actually does end up getting murdered, Bruce is maybe framed for it and has to catch who the real killer is via some detective work.

So according to Robles, Warner Bros wants a familiar face and that person is Armie Hammer. 42 min mark.

Familiar face is MUCH less required these days. People will go on Batman, not on whoever plays him. Hammer is boring.

Tom Holland was a complete unknown and he made Marvel 900 million.
Yeah I think WB can be persuaded into ab unknown
I remember Anthony Mackie complaining about that people don't watch actors anymore, they watch franchises and characters.

I remember this thread being a ton of fun back in the day. Dylan wouldn't be a bad choice, would need to hit the gym though. He has the chops.

Someone young in mid 30’s you can get 10 years out of and wont have public breakdowns or get tired of the role after 2 films. Need stability like jackman and downey

Supposedly Robles will discuss the names on his podcast, and the list he has heard includes:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Ansel Elgort
Kit Harington
Richard Madden
Logan Lerman
Nicholas Hoult
Jack O'Connell
Dylan O’Brien
Noah Centineo
Taron Egerton

I haven’t seen all of these guys before, so I’m working on the assumption that they’re all equally talented. In order:

Maybe.

Hard no.

Maybe.

Sure.

Hard no.

Maybe.

Maybe.

Hard no.

Harder no.

Nah.

Very true words though, now anyone can be a superhero/ action star. Were a long ways away from the arnold headliner days, thought the rock had a shot to carry it on but he makes mediocre action films
