I am proud and so heppy and peppy that Good words are going around about Miles and casting him as Batman. It seems you are on board with his talent elevating the role out of the pages of the comics.

Word is Reeves wants a Batman who can be beaten up quite easily and will be unconventional in the looks department. There is no better than Tellarr. The image of him in the red Batman costume really helps sell him too as a candidate. I really hope Reeves is thinking about him mainly as Armo Hammer and Nicholas Hoult just don’t really fit that unconventional out from left field type casting choice. This is Reeves making his own version of Burton and we need an actor to really be there who can perform and dance so well and circles around the rest but also infuse the role with an unconventional ruggedness. That is Tellarr because he Stellarr

Nah, he's the new Alfred yo.

Being too boyish would be my only knock against Lerman. Otherwise I don't see an issue.

Its important to remember that ultimately the ones that are going to be paying the new actor is WB so that being said, even if Reeves wanted, he probably wouldn't be able to cast someone the studio just dislikes entirely.
It's their money and their brand after all.

Anyone that thinks he has absolute control is ignorant to the way studios work.

I think he probably has absolute control over everything but the Batman casting. That I do think is gonna be more of a collaborative effort in which they'll have talks like "Oh I like this one but you dont" until they get one they both like.

That being said, the fact the studio wants someone in their early thirties makes me think they at the very least really want someone that doesn't look too boyish so that probably rules Elgort, Lerman, etc out.

Since the studio probably wants sex appeal as well, that probably rules Jack Reynor out.

Let's think like a executive for a second. What does the studio want in an actor and who do you think they'd have no problem representing the Bat Brand?

He probably has control over most of the important aspects though. Reeves spoke about how he has a specific take and wouldn't budge on negotiations if the studio wasn't going to back him.

We're lucky BvS did as bad it did in this respect, the studio is hedging their bets on Reeves returning the IP back to form.

Then in that case I would probably go with Miles Teller at this point to be the new Bruce Wayne/Batman

I gotta say I see no reason as to why if Hammer was the guy they wouldn't announce him yesterday so Mario's report was most likely wrong.

Now having seen Hotel Mumbai... I'm ready for Armie Hammer as Batman.

Why yesterday? I don't see a reason why they would commemorate a casting announcement with the anniversary of the character. Is there ANY precedent for that?

I don't think they would announce such a thing on a Saturday when every one (including journalists) are out of work...

When they announce the casting I would bet it will be something like 9AM PST so it's the dominating headline for the day.

Yeah... I'm not getting my hopes up. I don't see why they would be so secretive.

If they look for a Bruce Wayne in his 25-30s, Hammer isn't the right choice. He looks older.

God... I hope so. Just for the amount of fanboy whining.

Just a reminder to people that tomorrow is April Fools, so be wary of any casting news tomorrow.

I love that you go to the trouble of posting this when you know full well that we're all so thirsty for news that each and every April Fools post will be reported directly to this forum.
